The Anchorage, Part 3

The Wicked Witch of the North
OMG! Terre, you poor things, that sounds ghastly! Commiserations to you and your hubby, I've said what he said a lot. We do get rain, thunderstorm, hail, repeat but no sleet and no snow here. Mostly just rain, rain, rain, repeat, with lashings of wind. The wind went round to the south today as forecast and I am cosy in front of the fire. I hope you and he are cosy too.

Yuck. Nothing worse than an instructor who talks down to adults. ~sheesh~

I took accounting, and it wasn't bad at all. Macroeconomics, however, was a b*ll-buster.

@Miss B yeah, worse for me as I swear I am at lest 5 if not 10 years old then the tutor and I have no time for some one who talks down to me

I know what you mean Dreamer. I had that with a teacher back in High School, and I told him off during lunch one day. He had been teaching at a very good school prior to coming to my school, and he treated us as if we weren't good enough. I told him that's not fair as at least half the class were very bright students getting good grades.

To my surprise, he actually mentioned it in class after lunch that it was brought to his attention, though he didn't say by whom, and promised to change his attitude. The rest of the semester was good. Unfortunately, I can't recall now what the subject was he taught, but he needed someone to tell him he was wrong in his attitude.

It's always been a toss-up between accountants, tree surgeons and oyster sexers with me as to which of them are the worse. I must admit though, oyster sexers and tree surgeons do at least have interesting if unusual jobs!

I don't know... My wife is a tax accountant, so I can't touch that profession...
Tree surgeon... Maybe, the cosmetic tree surgeons... The ones that do bark tucks, and trunk lifts... The number of branch enhancements you see these days... I get it, maybe the tree has tiny little branches or it's a willow with sagging branches and its self esteem is low, that's a personal decision by the tree... But come on some of these cosmetic tree surgeons make these poor trees feel worthless and prey off their insecurities, making them feel like all the squirrels and sparrows want is trees with big firm perky branches... The kind you can grab a hold of and really swing from... Eh... I mean, you know BIG branches... Unnaturally large... I mean it's fine if that's what the tree came with... But...
Ah... Never mind...
I just hate oyster sexers... I have no idea what they actually do, but it sounds exploitive of oysters... But I'm also feeling very judgmental today, so there's that...
I probably should've read the other posts before that last one, because I have no idea what we are discussing or why...

Oh ye gods I hurt!
In the interest of letting my dad, who is visiting from Oz, borrow the car to do a bit of site seeing I have been biking to school with my son and then to tech for my classes. A total round trip of 20km!
No build up, no easing into it just straight up 20k ride every day for the next week.
I think I finally went right round the bend:inverted:

Yes. You did. Hopefully it's flat at least!

Dad owes you an equal number of massage services for the same number of days you have to bike.

It is mostly flat, on the school leg there is one big gully that we walk as its a bit much for my son to handle on a bike going down and way too steep to ride up the other side.
On the tech leg there are two up hill parts but one is between major intersections so its better to walk that bit any way and the other is the drive into campus so not too bad

Ouch!
Satira: That's a very good idea.
Yes a VERY good idea, now just have to convince dad lol and ouch is the lest of what I am saying today

Of course, you could always just settle for a nice long hot bath every day once you are home. Add in candles, chocolates, and a locked door and it's ALMOST as good as a massage.

That is rather what I have planned. Sans all the fun stuff and no locked door as I may need help to get out:confused: my back is trying to lock up on me. Once son and other half have had showers I am booking a nice looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong soke
