I just checked it out and it looks amazing! I'd have to start with the basic program but this comes with and it looks amazing!

Rokket, have you tried the zmodeller function?
No, I haven't. I have ZBrush, but I haven't really opened it much. I have been concentrating on 3DSMax because I have a whole tutorial series on it. I haven't had time to scour the internet for ZBrush tutorials yet. But I will. Knowing it has that function, I may dip into it sooner than later.

I was speaking of both and which would best to move up to from Hexagon. I think I have the terms down which I think is the best way to gain decent roots. Diving in is fine and some are so smart and talented that they can do just that. I needed to at least finish my crate OBJ before I moved onto something like a cape much less the clothing and that Snub nose gun I still want for my runtime.

Both programs are expensive but 3DSMax is crushingly so. However, Zbrush I can get an academic license which works with all functions intact. I won't be able to sell commercially until I upgrade the license but even that would be a whopping 50 percent off. I'll stop before I turn into a Zbrush commercial. First things first. I want to complete two things. First I want to texture that crate so that I finish what I start and second I want to make saddle shoes for a figure that must remain unnamed lest I incur the rokket wrath!

Pendraia (lovely name) is right, though. There are lots of tuts for Zbrush.

Not so many for Hexagon and that clunky interface.

What? There is no such thing as the rokket wrath! But he is curious....

I will have to wait until I am on WIFI so I can stream tutorials. We can't do that on our govt pc...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Here in the Philippines they have this idea to save power by load shedding. So different parts of the grid go down for specified periods of time. It seems my area was chosen to be blacked out this month for 8 hours per day EVERY DAY. Nice thanks.

And when we do have power on, I am guessing the area where my internet provider is off. I haven't been able to get on my WIFI at home at all.

This really sucks.

At least we have it up and running on the ship. I can't download but I and still get on here.

Holy! That sucks another kumara! Time to invest in some off the grid power alternatives? Solar would be great where you are.

OMG, I hadn't even thought of that! Here Con Ed will lower the power on really hot days so we don't ever experience another blackout, but shut it down in different areas each day? I think there would be mass murder at their offices and generators if that ever happened.

We had a power outage on Monday. Just our apartment complex. The neighboring apartment, traffic lights, everyone had power except us.

Oh and apparently you, rokket. So Monday, I felt your pain. Especially deep as we had bought extra food to watch the Warriors lose the NBA championship. Now I have to listen a full year to "Championship Cavalier Talk". That's extra pain.

And You SO have a wrath when the name V4 or anything from DAZ is mentioned.

We had an internet outage for several hours today. It's back up and seems to be stable but the tech who looked at the reading on the other end talked about things going up and down so a tech will be here tomorrow morning to check things out.

So many times I'm sitting on my boat, reading notices on FB about the power being off ashore and I've got lights! Sans Souci sits like a small lighthouse amidst the darkness. Off grid is good :)

Off grid seems mostly a good thing. I live by Anaheim, home of Disneyland. When we lost power we drove ten minutes to Anaheim where they have the entire city on a separate power grid. You couldn't even tell the rest of the Southern California was sweltering in the heat wave. It just wouldn't do for the happiest place on Earth not to have power for their rides...and the many restaurants that the tourists frequent not to be open for business.
