I'm sad that Galavant was cancelled. It was my absolute favorite, though it did take a few episodes to grow on me.

I mean ... a Dragon! and Timothy Omundson! What more does a series need?!?

I did like the Dragon :D and I loved Vinnie Jones, but I really wanted to punch the Princess in the face, don't know why :)

Most TV I am indifferent about, and most of the ones cancelled I don't have feelings either way about, except...
I am very sad to see they cancelled Agent Carter, and somewhat Dissapointed to see Dominion was cancelled (was watching it at a friends and kind of liked it).
I am ecstatic to see Rush Hour was cancelled (should never have been made). Also happy to see Bordertown cancelled.

what? a horse a Dragon ? I ran over to Amazon and put Galavant in and I see that it is got and Amazon instant video for 2016 so are you sure it's canceled ? this looks really like an intriguing show and I will buy it-any of it on DVD if it comes out that way … wow!

Oh wait is that the musical? … If so no would not like that …

I just got done watching Beauty and the Beast-all three seasons… And while the other network took it on and produce season three I'm not sure that I will watch anymore because it really is terribly repetitive both in dialogue and story plot whatever…

I'm moving on to the latest season on DVD of Mr. Selfridge with Jeremy Pivin (not sure how to spell it ) but I really enjoy this type of thing … and next on my pile of DVDs that are new is to watch the latest season on DVD of Orange Is the New Black… talk about change of pace! :)

I'm a bit surprised that so many shows are being cancelled. It used to be that if they weren't on a major network, the show would last at least seven years and have a great ending so they could put together a decent DVD collection. It seems too many shows with good potential are headed for the dust bin.

My favorite show with the worst ending was Quantum Leap. I liked the show. I even loved some episodes but that ending left a bad taste. I can't even watch the reruns now.

Agreed.
I also feel that way about LOST. The whole last season was terrible. I was really enjoying it up until then (and initially I did not want anything to do with, a girl I was dating at the time kinda forced it on me).

I'd have to check, but I think I read somewhere that Galavant got renewed. Unless it was an old story or something. Also, waiting for the season finale of The Flash tonight so I can get my geek on.:geek:

Oops, Nope sorry, Galavant is definitely cancelled.

We just went to the cable company to lower our bill. They lowered our bill and threw in the best movie channels for free. Sweetheart just fell in love with Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men, the Age of Ultron. Right now the only continuing series I'm watching is Game of Thrones now that the story of Korea's greatest genius, Kim Jong-il, is over. He only stopped creating new stuff because the Confucius scholars and the wealthy thought too much science would cause a revolution and proceeded to beat him until he was more or less a vegetable for 20 years. How dare he think that the Earth rotated around the sun? Blasphemy!

Oh well, only five months until Supergirl rises from the ashes.

Yes. Galavant is the musical. Normally, I hate musicals, but Galavant just kept on growing on me until it became up there in my top 10 list of shows I love.

Honestly ... I think I'd watch Timothy Omundson in ANYTHING and probably end up loving it. Especially ... if he's in medieval garb with a beard. :doesnotsuck:

By the way I put the (new to me because I only watch TV on DVD sets) Shanara Chronicles in the DVD to get ready to play later, and the opening sequence is as gorgeous and breathtaking as the sweeping scenes in Avatar the movie when they go to the mountain region! Just absolutely stunning! It does look like a post apocalyptic scene because I think that tower that is fallen over and overgrown with vegetation is this Seattle space needle. I didn't realize it would be taking place on earth because I never read the books. Anyway I backed it up so that when I go down I can stop watch it all over again! :)

I just wrote to reviews for a couple of new television shows after watching the complete season one of each on DVD…

Underground- I gave it only 3/5 stars at Amazon

This show's music takes me out of the drama!

This new television series has great writing, great acting and seems to be very accurate for the time period... But! I don't know why the creators feel that they have to "make a statement" for their viewers by putting Hip-Hop and other modern rock music behind many of the scenes. Seeing the inside of the beautiful "Great House" and the owners of the plantation having a social gathering and dancing is one thing, BUT the music they back the scenes with, is jarring - jolts me right out of the story! I actually fast forwarded to get through those scenes that were so off kilter because of the music. I also wondered why one of the main female characters was wearing a more modern ball down-another thing that took me out of the drama! (watching the extras- they did that on purpose just like the hip hop music, sheesh!) The soulful Negro spirituals and theme song are really well done and appropriate, too bad the creators were not consistent with music choices!

It really is too bad that the creators seem to care more about their own statement to the world, then drawing their viewers into this story. It is an important time in history to tell now the Roots was made a very long time ago I just wish they cared more about an important story in our history, then seemingly their own agenda of "modernizing it" with hip-hop music. I doubt I'll be watching season two and that's too bad because the actors and the writers did a wonderful job with season one.

Dark Matter- Five Stars!

What A Cool Show!

I think this show (which I'm pretty sure is by the same parent company) is taking the place of Lost Girl, now that that show has completed its run. While that show was fantasy with magic and all kinds of interesting elves and shape changers and evil people of all sorts along with the heroes and heroines, this new show-Dark Matter is pure science fiction. But just like the first show this one is extremely well written and well acted. It is very engaging and a lot of fun to watch! Of course season one ended on a big cliffhanger and I can hardly wait for season two!

It is kind of fun to see the woman who played the the human Dr. in Lost Girl playing an android in this show. She does a really good job! I'd also see some similarities in the stowaway girl of the new show and Kinzey from the first show. Not too many similarities so as to spoil it, I really adored the new girl, and in fact I really like the whole cast. Love the writing- mysteries that span it's overall arc yet enjoying the stories encased in each single episode.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a science fiction show like this one-one that is just pure science fiction without horror and gore!

One last note: I don't appreciate the makers of the DVD literally forcing us to watch their "commercials" so I just have to turn the sound off and waited out to get to where I can press play all on each disc. Still the quality of the show makes it worth the wait. :)

I'm not familiar with either of those two shows. Tonight I watched the premiere episode of Queen of the South, but I haven't decided yet whether I like it enough to continue watching for the whole season. I'll have to see how it develops over the next two or three episodes.

I watched episodes 1 and 2 of Dark Matter, but I didn't watch the rest. The characters didn't grab me that much in those first episodes, and I'm more interested in fantasy over science fiction. I think too that I had too many series to keep up with at the time. But, I may go ahead and watch the next few episodes since most series are in hiatus now.

Lost Girl keeps getting recommended to me because of my viewing history, but I wasn't keen on the description so haven't watched it. I may go ahead and give that series a try though.
