Some boleros are shorter...it can be both. Shrugs are really short and often don't cover the breast area...Boleros normally cover the breasts but can finish just below the breasts as well as going all the way to the waist.

These were the jackets I was looking at earlier. I like the bolero jacket, but I don't know how it would do as a dynamic. I'd probably have to rig it to keep its shape.

I am going to get to work on it later. I just got a massage and I am covered in oil. I have to shower it off before it starts drying to my skin.

I have it modeled. I just have to get the textures right. I think I want it silk like the jacket I made, but I am still not sure about dynamic or conforming. I am going to run a dynamic sim and see what happens. If it still looks like a shrug, I'll keep it. If not, I will rig it.
Then I guess I have to rig the rest of it, huh?

Oh well, the price you pay.

I prefer the jacket be rigged and with a little thickness. Personal preference.:)
Actually, I am going to make it a bit more skin tight. Since I am not releasing this one and it will only be for my comic use, I am not going to rig it.

Thanks! I need to change the coloring again, especially the belt. In fact, I may remodel that altogether.

Extraordinary
Since it's your thread and we are talking about jackets, I thought I'd try and post a render of the two top medical staff for my Comic, Astounding Science Fiction featuring Temple.

Because my characters often leave the place in carnage, they need a medical staff. Doctor Margaret Kelly, who is in her second career as The Chief medical officer and her colleague, Doctor Emma Kodo. Emma is a talented Doctor and second in charge of the medical staff. One has special powers, the other doesn't. I'm posting this as they would appear in my comic. Though I didn't clean this one up very well and I really skimped on the inks. I'll post a properly colored and inked page of a main character for the Hive faithful. (sorry I was rushed and am battling Adobe) Anyway, you can see this jacket is similar to the one posted above. One thing that new jacket will have is patches. Symbols are important in comics and something as a simple as stylized Lantern or even the letter S is enough to identify the characters. Still, the addition of piping and a collar for when the wind is blowing her hair would allow you more flair and drama when you wish and still keep her demure. I also chose a different material from the matte of her daily uniform. It's um, shiny! One of the things that has impressed about DAZ renders is the new materials they using. I'm always changing materials as I tend to use older products.

Doctor Kelly is a General, has pink Hair and is wearing the jacket and boots. Doctor Kodo has the rank of Colonel, though it's simply because of her medical pedigree. She has blue hair Computer Glasses (Anime Influence) and is wearing the dress with heels, Med Cap and Gloves because it's examination day for the troops. She is not a fighter. The Droid was added because it's cool. Sir rokket, consider what I said about a supporting cast. Emma is part of that supporting cast.
