Ooof...

In the states, it's a derogatory term for a Caucasian male. Not flattering at all. It refers to saltine crackers because they are white.

Well, doggone it! There are some glaring errors in the skirt's UV map that I can't seem to make go away. I remapped it about 5 times now. I am guessing there are some modeling issues that I have to address. I will try to fix it one last time, then I have to remodel it.

Thanks, and yeah... the US is full of hatred. Too bad. I know our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves over what we've become. But that's a discussion I don't really want here.

That sucks.
Yes and no. It'll give me a chance to model it closer to this one:

Silver linings etc :p
I told you. I don't get mad very easy. Discouraged sometimes, but not mad. I try to see the good in everything. I believe things happen for a reason, so the reason this skirt isn't working is because I need a different style.

I'm sure by sticking with it, you'll come up with one you're happy with.

I've had the same problem the past couple of months with a project, and I finally got to a point where I was able to get what I wanted to work the way I wanted it too. Perseverance is the name of the game. :)

I agree. I'm sure to an alien species we all look alike and they wouldn't understand the hatred. To be honest, neither do I.

Now about the skirt textures, I'm still a rookie so bear with me. It's all one texture, right? Why would there be anything that would keep it from looking the way you wish. Is it polygon size or folds or ruffles?

I think it's the fact that I draped it before I UV mapped it that is giving me the problems. I usually map it first, then take it into Poser for the drape. This time I didn't, and I am paying for that mistake. It's all good, though. Now I will make the belt that I wanted and it will be better.

UV mappers have a hard time reading folds. So if there are any in the model, they overlap and the texture gets garbled. I flattened it, but that broke the UV islands into little tiny pieces that made it unusable unless I wanted to spend countless hours stitching it back together. I don't. A remodel is easier.

This is the requested battle scene. As you can see, the emblem holds up to this type of movement. I am fairly confident that it will hold up to about anything. The only thing missing here is the skirt, which I begin modeling tonight after work.

Excellent! The Symbol holds up just fine! In fact as far my untrained eye can tell, the entire supersuit holds up well. Now I can't wait to see it with the skirt. Though I'm a fan of the "I need sex" outfits (I apologize for nothing), Supergirl was always a little more demure and provides balance to those heroines who fight in a bustier, bikini panties and high heel lace boots. The skirt provides modesty yet still pays homage to youth.

I just made coffee and oatmeat chocolate chip cookies in anticipation of the final two episodes of "Descendants of the Sun". You are all welcome to join me and mine.
