Absolutely, Szark. I'm great with words but put a sum in from of me and I go all "but it's maths!!!!". Can't even cope with suduko. And so much of what people talk about on this website goes sailing over my head, the nuts and bolts of the software makes my ears bleed.
Same. Suduko is so far out of my abilities. I'm no mathematician and I can't even think when I'm doing that sort of puzzle! lol

Just finished watching the Messengers on NetFlix. It's a shame it only got one season but it was quite good and entertaining. Story is about 7 humans that die and come back with "angelic" powers to fight against Satan and the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. I kept passing it up but finally gave in and was happily surprised.

To answer the Thread...Game of Thrones and Supergirl! Shes adorable and kicks butt at the same time.
Supergirl is moving to the CW this next season. If they can bring her into the ARROWverse, I will be one happy camper. Primarily, because she and the Arrow are such polar opposites, so they would butt heads constantly over tactics.

They've explained in a cross over that they are from different earths so I don't think it will be a regular thing, but I still I hope they have more cross overs in the future.

Well, I added it to my queue, but there's no available date, so it'll probably take a while before I get to see it. No rush, I have about 75 movies in my queue, so I'll be busy in the meanwhile. ;)

Ohhhhh, so THAT's why I didn't see it as renewed (or cancelled) in the CBS list of shows for next season. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Not that it would have mattered much, but CBS and the CW are sibling networks. CBS decided Supergirl didn't quite rate high enough, but it was still a hit, so they moved it to the CW.

Which kind of makes me wish they had waited for the crossover now. Still, if you know anything about DC comics, they had an event years ago where they actually merged all the know universes into one called the Crisis. They've already mentioned this event in season one of the Flash, so it is possible that's what they might do.

Yes, I didn't really think it belonged on CBS to begin with. At least it was a big enough hit that they're still going to show it. I don't mind watching CW, as long as I can watch the show I want to see. :)

CBS liked the show, but it was skewing the wrong demographic for them. hey decided it was a better fit on the CW.

. . . and I don't do streaming. ~shrugs~

Actually, I find Sunday afternoons there isn't anything decent on TV, so that's when I watch a movie, and I only get 2 a week, so not a problem for me.

I'm hoping they eventually get to put one of their Netflix original TV shows on disc at some point. It's called Bosch, and it's based on a large set of books by Micheal Connelly that I've read. He's the author that wrote the book the movie Lincoln Lawyer was based on, but that's from a second slightly related series to the Bosch books.

That's insane. It was the first season, didn't flop and should only get better with time. CBS has four shows in the top ten. Two are cop shows. I'm sick of cop shows. I'm sick of reality shows about murders. One was an awards for country music so that was a one time shot. Big Bang thoery is rather funny but I'm reminded of when I was a little boy and they replaced Star Trek with Bracken's World. Bracken's World was a story about TV execs. I wonder if Star Trek would be true success? For those who are old enough it was an age where Harlan Ellison wrote what became the best Star Trek episode. Ever. The City on the Edge of Tomorrow. Back then was the golden age of Science Fiction writers, Asimov, Bradbury, Heinlein. What if they had tapped them to pen an episode? Why not do that now with the DC Universe. Comic Book writers are very very good at what they do. So good that the top grossing movies of today are about Comic Book Heroes.

Still, I didn't watch Smallville because of my work schedule until one morning there was nothing else on and I found they had totally revamped the show into something that was quite cool as they brought in stories about heroes. Heroes are cool. Oh and Erica Durance became my favorite Lois Lane of all time. Smokin' Hot, written sassy and smart like Lois was supposed to be. Well at least they moved it rather than cancelled it.

They tap comic book writers all the time. Kevin Smith just directed an episode of the Flash last week. And the late Dwayne McDuffie wrote many of the episodes of Justice league Unlimited.

And to be honest, I couldn't stand Erica Durance as Lois Lane.

Favorites for me... that's tough (most of my favorites have either completed their run, or are long off the air). Currently I am trying to follow:
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (I am really enjoying it more than I though I would)
Agent Carter ( really like this one... for many reasons not just it's context)
Elementary (though I am starting to lose some of my interest, I do like the way Sherlock is portrayed in it)
The 100 (Did not have high hopes, but I am pleasantly surprised overall)

If I had cable, and when I get chances to see them:
Game of Thrones
Doctor Who (and I miss when it was on PBS as a child)

There are a number of shows I try to follow, and initially liked or had hopes for, but have started or continued in trends that are very irritating to me. These include Supergirl and Flash. I initially really liked the Flash, but I hate that more and more people know his Identity, and that he needs a support team to help him (hated this about Arrow and so never got into it despite loving the comics). I have the same issue with Supergirl (the secret identity issues) but also dislike that somehow they have managed to take the strongest woman on Earth and make her seem more fragile and weak then a certain Agent (I love how Agent Carter comes off as strong willed, not just strong in a fight or skilled combatant, but conversely it seems the writers of Supergirl are too obsessed with making her seem less capable, full of self doubt, awkward, and overlaying heavy layers of "Girl Power" messages relayed through her mentor...which just sort of irritates me... make her a good, strong, rounded character and the message would be self evident in my opinion).

There are other shows I try following when given the chance (Manhatten, Turn, the Strain, Dominion) but I always find the need to keep my mind distracted from itself, lest my depression overwhelm me.
