I take it that what you guys are calling fairy/candy floss I'm used to calling cotton candy?I'm not taking the bet, Pen! First place I go to on show days is the hotdog on a stick stand, second place is the candy floss

Having seen cotton fields before and after harvest (LOTS of run away cotton balls beside the highway) growing up I always understood the American name for that candy and the Aussie and Kiwi names make sense too.
That area is now has a lot less cotton and many dairies where there were none on the Texas side before along that stretch of highway. The Southwest Cheese plant mad a big difference in this entire area on both sides of the state border.

Since Tsuki moved in, I've been hesitant to use the oven. She is just too curious for her own good, and I'm always worried, I won't notice her in time to prevent her from jumping onto a hot oven door.
Then too, I've always found ovens rather awkward to use. I think I'd be happier with a smaller oven that was counter height instead of such a big oven I have to bend down to move things in and out.
The kitchen simply wasn't designed for me in mind ... at all. Starting with the height of the counters and cupboards!
I definitely need to win the lottery so I can have my tinyish, but really small house built based on my designs. I'd have a loft, with storage stairs, but it would be for storage only. No daily climbing up and down stairs (or in the middle of the night) for me! Bed has to be on the same level as the bathroom and kitchen. And just what is the purpose of a bed when it's not being slept in! Of course, I don't even use mine for that. It's just a place to sit when I'm getting dressed. Kinda hard to put socks on when you're standing
