Just wait for the official announcement by Chris, not my place to share any more info.Same bat time. Same bat channel. Hope it's not just another station announcement.
Hi the rigging is new so the poses probably needs to be slightly adjusted .@MEC4D can you confirm if poses for Dawn2 are backward compatible or Poses for Dawn SE are foreward compatible? I ask as an interested CA who might want to repack a few WIPs as Dawn 2 projects.
Dear Ken, would you be the one who could make a conversion script for DD2 to use Genesis 3-8-or9 poses?Don't worry, it took a while, but things are now in high gear. Things are going to happen FAST now. Just a little more patience. ^^
Welcome backHi Guys, I am back .. but will not post much until my products are ready for release ..
The same goes for all other vendors that are under NDA.. no posts until Release .. not going to take long from now on .
Stay tuned ..

Well I am very late .. so working just on my products for Dawn 2.. thank you !Welcome back
Chained to desk until release? Or do you get some breaks, if only for good behaviour?
Dawn 2 ?!?!? *WHERE* !!! I WANT!
Interesting.
I literally (well not really literally but since everyone else uses it incorrectly...) have a briefcase (also not literally a "case of briefs". Or even a case ) full of money (not so much full as overflowing. but yes, money.) prepared to drop on Dawn 2 and anything that so much as even hints of cool *for* Dawn 2.
Thanks so much for the response and the link, Ken! I only use Poser for fbx import nowadays. A DS latter Genesis pose converter would definitely lubricate adoption of Dawn 2 methinks. Now that you've asked, I did some testing with the "DUF Pose Converter" script for Poser 12+, and loaded some Genesis 1 and 2 DUF poses over Dawn2, and they worked pretty well. Only needs minor adjustments, which would be needed anyway if you used body morphs that change body proportions.
When it comes to G3/8/9, that's a different story because they are not TriAx figures, and also don't use traditional T-pose. Their rigging is more akin to that used in game engines, where there is only 1 weight map per joint, as opposed to 9+ used in TriAx, so the ball-joints (shoulders & thighs) require double bones, making this quite different from what we would expect. Converting those poses would be more a matter of adapting to a different rigging system, instead of just converting the file format.
For the time being, I will be releasing the "RigControl" script for Dawn2, which is covered in my dev thread here at HW. This was originally meant for posing only the face rig, but was now expanded to control ALL bones on Dawn2, to include regular bones, ghost bones, and ERCs (remote controls). It allows posing everything D2 has, and also creating facial posing presets with an interface similar to Poser's Memory Dots, but with additional features like custom captions and hover over thumbnails.
