Not really, but it would make a decent 3D model of an alien spaceship.
It's the Jupiter 2 from Lost in Space, and I believe I've seen a 3D model of it over the years. Thought I had it, maybe from ShareCG, but I can't find it.

just a kettle to boil water to make a cuppa tea or cuppa coffee....

the article says that you guys just use a pan to boil water for a coffee...

Well, that's not true...for most of us. I use a glass kettle with a lid that whistles when it starts boiling. But I remember electric tea kettles. And these days, electric coffee makers are abundant, with all kinds of features.

Sadly, I don't know whether you're joking or not.:cautious:
I had really hoped my use of smileys would have revealed I was being snarky. I very much loved everything about space when I waas a child and read and watched a lot about the Moon Landing, NASA, the developments leading up to it and following it, the space shuttles, etc... when I was younger. The real shame of it is rather than encouraging me to pursue science with those interests, teachers repeatedly came down on me for being lost in fantasy.
I grew up (post landing on the moon) with encyclopedias that pre-dated the space age. I still love the fanciful "rock ship" pictures. Luckily, our school reports never touched on anything that new. It was like history ended on VE day. There was never a VJ day, except in passing mention. No Korea. No Vietnam (what with it still going on until 5th grade). Pretty much everything we were taught about US history was wrong. Even most of the dates we had to memorize. I assume the very little non-US history we covered was even more incorrect.

Yes, school taught me one thing. Faking it enough to pass. And that served me well in the corporate world :)
What you describe was essentially true when I was in school as well, and is why by the time I was in High School I treated it as a joke. History books from the 1950's, teachers slanting facts with their own views and biases, English still teaching the same things from 6th and 7th grade. No real art classes (construction paper, paste, and crayons still in High School...really???).

Yes there was one on ShareCG once, along with the Chariot, and some tools from the pilot episode (the laser drill). I still have them in my runtimes and may or may not still have the archives. They do appear to be gone now. There is one for sale on Renderosity too.

Thanks for that link Kage. Just sent into my Wishlist, as I don't need it right now, and $16 is a bit more than I want to spend on something I "might" eventually get to use. It does look well done, and good for both Poser and DS. :)

Remember this???? Okay time to blow my tolerant "new age" modern guy look. They let girls into the boy scouts now. I'm agin it. I don't have anything against girls in scouting, but that's what the GIRL SCOUTS are for.

Just out of curiosity, what article were you reading?
Went looking but couldn’t find it…
