Caoimhe had not intended to enter, just prove she could gain access, however, finding there appeared to be some emergency lighting she carefully made her way down the corridor beyond the door. The lighting was not sufficient to see clearly so she used the wall to guide her towards the glow she could see at the end of the corridor some distance away. The sight at the end caused her to take a sharp intake of breath, what was it and more to the point why was it contained behind some containment shield that appeared to still be active.

Charity's mother has come for a visit. All the way from New Zealand. Snape and Charity meet her in Hogsmead and Snape is pleasantly surprised by his prospective mother-in-law.

Upon their return to Hogwarts, they are met by Filtch, who informs them that there is a meeting in the Headmaster's office concerning Professors Kettleburn and Lupin's discoveries.

Techno-pixie exploring undersea ruins. Bagginsbill gave a tut on setting up undersea godrays. :p P12 Superfly render.
There is a turbulence wake behind the floater bot drone, but the effect is subtle and got lost when I reduced the pic size. :(
If you want to try it, I packed up a seawater box, gobo (use only a single light, infinite type), and seafloor, along with the texturing images (caustic for gobo, mud for seafloor). It's packed in Poser runtime format.

Caoimhe had decided to investigate a lot more when she was better equipped and this time around she had Turlough in tow. It was fairly easy for Turlough to get some power sorted, the difficulty was arranging is to there was minimal power for lightning as the last thing he wanted was to power up the whole of the installation.

Returning to the room Caoimhe found her attention drawn once more to the creature while Turlough took wider look at what was there. It appeared to be nothing more than a storage unit but the items it stored were a strange mismatch of creatures, coms equipment, robots and more worryingly, explosives.

Some Lord of the Rings inspired art I created for some friends that were playing one of the LOTR role-playing games (they wanted me to do some custom character art and it was a good chance for me to practice some portrait style work)... These were rendered in DS 4.7 and then post-worked in Filter Forge to get the look of illustrated water colour effects...

Fantastic renders sir. I'm a huuuuge fan of LOTR, as that is probably my favorite set of fantasy books. ;)

Thank-you Miss b :)

LOTR has been a basis for much of our modern fantasy genres world-wide, and has certainly influenced many artists and writers in a surprisingly wide range of fields. Its' been a long time favorite of mine as well!

Caoimhe, being the decisive well organised person that she was had little need for the chill room, until now. She had promised herself she would never get close to anyone ever again, not after Darroch, she shivered as she remembered the name and all it had meant, and still, meant to her. Throwing herself into her work she had found it relatively easy to cut herself off to all but family and the occasion work colleague. Then recently there had been Turlough, she found herself smiling if only briefly, he was after all just someone who had become become a friend of her family. She corrected herself mentally, he was slightly more than a friend, he had after all saved her sisters life. Still he was just a family friend, no more, no less, until she discovered he decided it was time to leave and return to his own time. She knew immediately she would miss him, the realisation shook her and forced her to admit to herself that she was really unsure how she felt about him.

Time to think.

With that color scheme, this scene would be perfect for Valentine's Day. ;)

True, as the sign says this is the Purple Orchid, well at least it is until you use it in Superfly when the colour scheme does not work very well at all. For example the chandeliers come out a bright white with no detail so much of the colour in this render remains true to the original but comes from the skills of Vince Bagna and his superb set of Superfly materials.

Easter break arrives. After the necessary subterfuge of Harry spending the first night in his hidden room at the Dursleys, He and Snape remove to Lacewing Cottage, where they are joined by Charity, and Harry sees his new house, and property.

He is also introduced to his benefactress, the late Madam Fletwock.
