You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. I've posted a formal welcome and invite to our HiveWire facebook page. Please encourage your friends to read that post or join in to read on this rather lengthy thread. Either you, or your concerned friends from other communities can email me at chris@hivewire3d.com. From there I can give my cell # if necessary for further input and clarity of welcome or to answer questions or concerns.

I believe Regina/LLF already had a store at DAZ, though it probably had Genesis 2/Genesis 3 items in it, so her moving to DAZ doesn't surprise me that much.

Looking at LittleFox's selection at Daz, out of 28 items one is for G2F, 6 are for Genesis. Most are V4, even after Genesis came out. None are for Genesis 3.

Edit: Corrected numbers after I mistyped my search.

We have made invites to all, early on in this thread, and to a handful in emails. We will very shortly see submissions coming in from other stores into the Hive, to which we are very grateful for.

I'll mention it again now, that we welcome all artists, potential artists, lovers of art, lovers of Poser or Studio, potential forum members, lurkers, any and all interested in what we're trying to do here at HiveWire to join us! We want and need you here with us. We are trying to do our best to create an inviting environment to foster creativity, and provide in-house content that works equally as well in Poser and Studio. We're striving to build a bridge for both software audiences where a bridge, that had some level of stability was allowed and made to crumble. We publish content from others in this community that can be for either Poser, or Studio, or both. We'd like your voice. We need your opinions, and insights. We're welcoming to positive, uplifting input and encouragement to others. So that folks can feel comfortable here and able to learn from each other, and differing opinions and ideas that can help and bring about improvement.

Please considering joining with us, and share your talents to be made available here at HiveWire. And again, welcome to the many folks that have recently joined with us or are at least considering to do so. And from Lisa and me, and the HiveWire team, we thank all those that have found us from the onset and have been along for the ride from the beginnings of HiveWire and for your support along the way!

You can't get more inviting and encouraging than that! Good stuff, Chris.

Perhaps content for Poser could offer something DAZ doesn't? Trying to compete with DAZ figures like the Victorias and the Genesises maybe isn't the only path. One of Poser's strengths is Dynamic Cloth. Dynamic clothing in Poser can be used with DAZ figures and Poser figures and is not dependent on specific characters or body shapes. It's something DAZ Studio does very poorly. Maybe think of all the reasons that people prefer Poser - and build on those strengths. And instead of the generic look of most DAZ figures/characters, the Poser figures may offer a platform for creating unique, artistic, individualistic, fantastical, characters that are not obtainable with the mesh of DAZ created figures. Poser figures could have many many more morphs created for them, giving content creation artists greater shaping abilities. Going head-to-head with DAZ by creating content that they already sell isn't the only way to go. One of the things I most treasured about RDNA was the diverse personalities of the characters and figures they sold. Bizarre and wondrously weird and extreme content.

Actually that is one of the reasons I like working with Dawn, the dynamic clothing on sale here was very different in style to the styles normally produced for V4. I noticed there is now a script that allows such clothing to be used in DS, which I am glad to see even though I don't use DS. So it not so much to do with Poser doing something DS can't but it is a case of providing some products that are rare for some of the other figures.

Is that because CVs make more mistakes? :sorry:
For someone who spent 40 years typing legal briefs in record time, yeah, I'm used to typing over 100wpm, and ALWAYS have to go back and check. Unfortunately, forum software in general, does NOT have a spell check feature that I'm aware of, so yeah I make mistakes, but hopefully I catch 99% of them and get them fixed.

Of course, these old eyes don't always catch them, even after rereading a post a time or two. ;)

Yea, but that does mean you can spot the mistakes, most the time I can't. It was one of the reasons I like the advance mode in the RDNA forums so that I can read the reply before i finally post it. Even then I tend to what I think should be there rather than what is actually there.

LOL!! No, :p You may not watch!! Because you might enjoy it too much !! :sneaky:

Besides !! Laughter is the best medicine sometimes!! Carry on Folks!! I've had my daily giggle!!:roflmao:

My aim was not enjoyment, I just wanted to make sure I was getting my fair share.

As you say a bit of fun I guess we need to let the thread get back on track.

lol loved this post Hornet...

After setting up some render challenges recently I think I can explain why we get more time. When we initially set them up we do it in the CV forum and then move them across. This gives a chance for other CV's to have input and double check what we've written. Given that we have CV's around the globe this gives us all a chance to look.

And yeah I definitely make more mistakes...constantly reediting.

 @Szark, (LOL) you need a spanking!!
Me as well please, I started it.:happyflip:

Hi, I'm a Poser refugee from DAZ, RDNA, and now Renderosity. Renderosity is now having a mass exodus. A vendor, 3d-Arena was banned for a reason no one can understand. People are lashing out at the mods. Freebie creators are deleting their freebies. People are deleting their galleries. It's sinking like the Titanic and the powers that be don't seem to care. Total chaos. So I signed up here and at CGbites. I hate DAZ and swore I would never buy from them again, but now they have a sale where you can get a lot of Poser products for 80 cents. I'm giving them my money, but also showing them that Poser products sell and I have no interest in G3. I guess I will buy anywhere that has good sales on Poser products from now on, sick of the politics. If they are going to be all about money, so will I. If they have great prices on Poser products, I'll buy, if not I won't. Still upset about the RDNA takeover... But honestly I have enough content to last my whole life. Will start playing with Dawn, soon, I have already, but I haven't tried out the new upgraded version yet, which I have, and I will probably get the Handspan/Thorne morphs. Is there a utility that can make V4 clothes fit to her? Thanks.

I know others have pointed you here or there Wonderland, but I'd like to point out that both Wardrobe Wizard and Crossdresser will convert from V4 to Dawn as they both have Dawn plug ins.

If you have newer Posers there's also the Fit room, which I have found to be hit or miss. Though I don't work with it much which could be my problem.
