Now, had I read the next page of posts, I'd have seen where you pointed out I was a CV, Seliah.

It's way too early still for me, and I've been chasing after Tsuki all morning. She's decided it's time to explore the kitchen counters again. So it's read a post or two, go pick the kitten off the counter, read another post or two, then back to the kitchen to pick Tsuki off the counter ... again. And so on. I also decided to move the Pothos from the watercooler to the plant cage ... which caused the orchid (I didn't realize it was leaning against the Pothos) to do a belly flop to the kitchen floor. Spilling both plant and all the growing medium onto the kitchen floor.

I tell you ... plants and I don't have the best relationship. Though, I do love them. I just take much better care of a four legged creature than one with roots!
Oh, Satira, I know this kitty game only too well. For me, it's the kitty and the new puppy. They are best buds and get into trouble all day long.

The cat gets on my desk and start knocking things in the floor for the puppy. House rule - if it hits the floor, the puppy OWNS it. Not open for discussion.

One night, I was out in the pouring rain searching for a pair of pants I left on the floor when I changed clothes. Another unspoken house rule - puppy toys belong outside, thankyouverymuch. Just ask my puppy.

Oh no! I'd not be very happy if I had to search in the pouring rain for a pair of pants!

I found she'd pulled three shirts off the hangers and onto the floor the other day. Guess I should hang them in the closet instead of from the canopy frame!

Hi Jan, how'd you be? Hope the weather is improving.

Hey, Lorraine, thank you. :) Weather is nice today. A little nippy but sunny, thankfully.

I hope you are well and happy. Same to everyone else!

Thanks for the heads up on the edit time -- the life cycle of my typos. :)

Stop it! You're influencing me. :)

Ha! GOOD :)

Wonder if a stand alone figure like Gnobbit would feel at home at HW even though it is a poser only figure. After all he is looking for a new home. :)
Hi, Ghostman, welcome!

Gnobbit is so cute - reminds me of the Troll dolls! I was fortunate to have someone gift him to me :). I'm part of KCTC (Kids and Cute Toons Club) and my friends there have made things for him.

At HiveWire, we have NO problem with either stand alone Poser only or DS only figures.

All HW created products are both DS & Poser, but for CA products we have some Poser & DS, others just DS or just Poser. Who knows, maybe you will find someone to team with for a DS version of him :)

Will the Dawn stuff be moving here???
So many questions.. so little time!!! lol

Hey, Llola! I suspect some might - that'll be up to the vendors who created them. We'd sure love to have vendors submit products here if they're looking for a home...be it for our figures or others! Poser and/or DS. All are welcome!!

Perhaps content for Poser could offer something DAZ doesn't? Trying to compete with DAZ figures like the Victorias and the Genesises maybe isn't the only path. One of Poser's strengths is Dynamic Cloth. Dynamic clothing in Poser can be used with DAZ figures and Poser figures and is not dependent on specific characters or body shapes. It's something DAZ Studio does very poorly. Maybe think of all the reasons that people prefer Poser - and build on those strengths. And instead of the generic look of most DAZ figures/characters, the Poser figures may offer a platform for creating unique, artistic, individualistic, fantastical, characters that are not obtainable with the mesh of DAZ created figures. Poser figures could have many many more morphs created for them, giving content creation artists greater shaping abilities. Going head-to-head with DAZ by creating content that they already sell isn't the only way to go. One of the things I most treasured about RDNA was the diverse personalities of the characters and figures they sold. Bizarre and wondrously weird and extreme content.

Hi, I'm a Poser refugee from DAZ, RDNA, and now Renderosity. Renderosity is now having a mass exodus. A vendor, 3d-Arena was banned for a reason no one can understand. People are lashing out at the mods. Freebie creators are deleting their freebies. People are deleting their galleries. It's sinking like the Titanic and the powers that be don't seem to care. Total chaos. So I signed up here and at CGbites. I hate DAZ and swore I would never buy from them again, but now they have a sale where you can get a lot of Poser products for 80 cents. I'm giving them my money, but also showing them that Poser products sell and I have no interest in G3. I guess I will buy anywhere that has good sales on Poser products from now on, sick of the politics. If they are going to be all about money, so will I. If they have great prices on Poser products, I'll buy, if not I won't. Still upset about the RDNA takeover... But honestly I have enough content to last my whole life. Will start playing with Dawn, soon, I have already, but I haven't tried out the new upgraded version yet, which I have, and I will probably get the Handspan/Thorne morphs. Is there a utility that can make V4 clothes fit to her? Thanks.

RDNA has notified me about the "DAZ3D merge" last Wednesday, and I was stunned for a few moments before I could think again. Moments later I've started receiving emails from some of my commissions clients like it was the end of days. Since then I have been trying to reply to all the people, and at the same time trying to make sense of what is going to happen to Dawn/Dusk contents sold there, and also the myriad of independent figures and wide variety of Poser tools/scripts I usually buy there.

For instance, LadyLittleFox has already announced her pledge to DAZ3D, and sort of hinted that her independent figures (such as Star) might be turned into a morph for Gen3. She didn't make clear if that means she will no longer support Poser, or if that would run in parallel, but there is also the fact that I would be surprised if DAZ3D actually started to support Poser contents out of the blue. Chances are that Poser products from RDNA will be made available "for a limited time", and that's it. DAZ3D had plenty of opportunity to support Poser products, but instead, they decided to go with the likes of DSON. It allows them to claim Poser support without actually doing it, so it's a clever marketing gimmick that seems to be working for some people. In other words, after all DAZ3D efforts to abandon Poser support, it would come to a big surprise if they decided to open an exception with the RDNA merge.

I believe RDNA was not just another content site, but instead a place with its own culture and personality. But according to LLF's announcement, that was coming at the sacrifice of the few admins, so it was just a matter of time before something like this would happen.

I agree this might be an opportunity for more CAs to join HiveWire3D and continue their work here. Would be interesting if HW3D posted a formal invitation (if not already). :)

Welcome aboard, Wonderland! I too have left RO over 10 years ago because I thought their policies were increasingly affecting my gallery, store products, and even my creativity as an artist. Not surprisingly, they decided to delete all my freebies after I closed my store and gallery there. Since then I have never looked back. There are better places, and you have just found one. ^__^

I believe Regina/LLF already had a store at DAZ, though it probably had Genesis 2/Genesis 3 items in it, so her moving to DAZ doesn't surprise me that much.

I also agree with you Ken about RDNA's own culture, and their vendors did make more unusual content for those who wanted that little something different.

As for RDNA content creators coming to the Hive, I hope so, and I know a lot of us have been posting over at RDNA how much we'd like to see folks come here. As far as a "formal" invite, that would be up to Chris and Lisa, and I suspect, though don't know for certain, they probably have already reached out to some of the RDNA vendors. Whether they take the invitation and come here, that remains to be seen. We can only hope. :)

Welcome Ghostman. As several have intimated and as Alisa has said, we'd be happy to provide a home for your lil' fart of a character! He looks awesome and unique. Good for you!

Wonderland. Thanks for coming aboard to a floating ship. Grab a blanket and I'm sure we can round up a bowl of "porage" to keep you warm and welcome here. Sorry to hear of the struggles going on, and all that you and others have had to endure.

Ken, you're a very observant person in my view!

We have made invites to all, early on in this thread, and to a handful in emails. We will very shortly see submissions coming in from other stores into the Hive, to which we are very grateful for.

I'll mention it again now, that we welcome all artists, potential artists, lovers of art, lovers of Poser or Studio, potential forum members, lurkers, any and all interested in what we're trying to do here at HiveWire to join us! We want and need you here with us. We are trying to do our best to create an inviting environment to foster creativity, and provide in-house content that works equally as well in Poser and Studio. We're striving to build a bridge for both software audiences where a bridge, that had some level of stability was allowed and made to crumble. We publish content from others in this community that can be for either Poser, or Studio, or both. We'd like your voice. We need your opinions, and insights. We're welcoming to positive, uplifting input and encouragement to others. So that folks can feel comfortable here and able to learn from each other, and differing opinions and ideas that can help and bring about improvement.

Please considering joining with us, and share your talents to be made available here at HiveWire. And again, welcome to the many folks that have recently joined with us or are at least considering to do so. And from Lisa and me, and the HiveWire team, we thank all those that have found us from the onset and have been along for the ride from the beginnings of HiveWire and for your support along the way!

Well, I noticed on one of the *cough* other forums, people are already shocked and grieved that some of "that" content is moving into their neighborhood.

<--- Admirable? No, just no! That is totally not me at all.
