Feast or famine. There's far too much of that going around these days. Seems like having a career is a thing of the past. Now you're just happy to have a job.

The countdown is at 6 hours now. It's lunchtime here. The food isn't so good, but the hour and a half off for lunch is pretty nice....

I never thought of that! I know that during the big Y2K scare I was still in the Navy and we were recalled back to work just in case the bad thing happened. We were watching the clock strike midnight all around the world as it started. Made me mad because I wasn't able to be out celebrating like all my friends were. So to get even I started knocking on their doors to wake up the hungover drunks at 7AM the next day. They were not happy to see me... go figure!

Seattle cancelled their Y2K celebration. A terrorist was arrested a few weeks earlier as he tried to enter the US from Canada in Port Angeles. He supposedly had reservations near the Seattle Center where the celebration would have been. Later turned out that he was part of a planned terrorist attack against the Los Angeles International Airport. So caution was probably not out of line.

Whoa... I don't remember hearing about that. Thank you for acknowledging my service! It was 20 years and 25 days. I retired 10 years ago. I was proud to have done it, but I don't miss it. And I pray every day that the situation never comes up where they recall me because of some obsolete technology I supposedly have knowledge of that sailors these days don't know how to use. It happened to all those battleship gunners during the first gulf war.

Here is the mostly completed costume from Star Wars. I am still reworking the tunic because I had to do too much work to get it right using Poser's morph tools after the sim. I don't want the end user to have to do any of that, so I am remodeling.

Here is what the outfit looks like without the belt and tunic. I want to rework the UV maps for the boots and put better textures on them, but it looks nice right now. I can upload this if anyone wants something to practice dynamics with.

One last render. I ran a cloth sim because I wanted to see how much the clothes would sag. If I upload this one, it will be rigged and I'll tighten them both to hug the body better. She likes her workout gear. What do you think of it?

Oh, Rokket, they all look nice! I am especially loving your Star Wars outfit... I can see SO many other (non-Star Wars) uses for that outfit, too! We are badly in need of just generic "casual SciFi" stuff for Dawn AND Dusk, and yes, even Luna!

I like these a lot.

Casual Sci-fi... is that an official term? LOL! I can do that. I will have to see what Dawn SE looks like when I unwrap the package, and I can get started on a few things....

I don't know if it's an official term or not. But what I mean by it, is sci-fi styled things that we can put on people for everyday wear in a sci-fi setting. So, your casual person walking down the street, or the kids leaving school and hopping on the air-bikes to get home... LOL

Basically, what I'm talking about is non-military/uniform sci-fi themed stuff. And this Star Wars outfit of yours could easily be re-textured to work for MANY such uses. It's very versatile in terms of the way the cloth is cut and the overall style to the outfit.
