Mischief and other things

They are a really good way to make money. Doubt they'll do paypal though. I used to make 800 a month there. Spent it all at Amazon though! Then I started doing some work for someone that was paying with stolen credit cards and they closed my account. They are unforgiving about reopening accounts.

I gave the link to my daughter, she has better skills than I have.
She had two semesters of Journalism in college before she had to give it up.
I do some editing and checking photos and images there but she can do much more.

She is also going to create her own line of bath soaps, lotions and shampoos all designed to relieve pain and relax.
One she created here for us to help with our RA and Fibro really helps, her husband hurt his back and it helped him.
These are all natural ingredients, no artificial or additives in them.
Guess I'll do some promo art for them when she is ready to start selling. :)

A lot of stuff has been going on...sigh.
I've been trying to create 2 more coloring book, one with all my horse images and one with flowers and mandalas.
And I am trying to finish my cat texture set for Poser and DAZ Studio as well as get the Aurore 2 updates in store.
But hands keep getting a lot of swelling and hurting, then storms move in or I get a sinus and upper respiratory infection.
I do hope today will be kinder.

Then last night we had a slight scare concerning my older brother, his daughter and her family.
They all went to Branson, MO on a vacation and yesterday the daughter and her family went on the Duck Boat rides.
A storm came up fast and furious but their captain got them back to shore safely.
The boat behind them was not so lucky and 11 to 15 people died when the boat capsized.

The older brother was not on the boat and was going to go on it today, he changed his mind and decided to go to a show instead.
I can't say as I blame him changing his mind. :)

I was just reading about the Duck boat. What a tragedy. I saw the video of the Duck boat. Those things don't look seaworthy at all. Glad you family is okay.

Wow, sounds as though the family dodged a bullet, glad they are safe. Saw some clips in news feeds over here in the UK, my thoughts for the families of those that were lost, a great tragedy.

That is so heartbreaking. I'm so glad your family are safe.

Duck boats used to be a big thing here in Philadelphia until 2016 when a second fatal accident sent the company's insurance sky high. While neither accident was exactly the fault of the Duck boats (in 2010, a trash barge hit and sank a disabled duck boat killing two, and in 2015, a duck boat struck and killed a woman crossing the street.)

Personally, I don't think the boats are either river or seaworthy. They ride way too low in the water, and the canopies tend to trap riders in the submerged boat if it capsizes or sinks.

It's hard for the driver to see what's in front or behind him on the streets, and in Philadelphia, most pedestrians fail to look before crossing ... assuming drivers see them or will stop. I can't count the number of times pedestrians have crossed the street in front of me against their light. In some cases, they simply weren't paying attention to their light or the traffic. Ultimately, I think people in Philadelphia erroneously believe they always have the right of way. Scares me no end that pedestrians assume I can see them when I may not be able to (like when I've turned into the sun), and that they don't wait to step into the street until they are sure I DO see them.

The only boat I've ever been on was the Admiral in St. Louis, MO.
I was 15 years old back then and my boyfriend took me on it.
I could not tell it was moving toll we stood at a rail and I saw the water movements around it.

I tend to stay away from the waterways as I can't swim, just never could learn how.

Finally, going to have my new hearing aid in a week or two.
Took a loan on my insurance to pay for it and the check came this morning.
The daughter is depositing it now and calling the audiologist to send off the ear mold for it. :)
Now to work on earning money for eyeglasses.

Picked up the new hearing aid and it helps much more than the old one.
But unless new technology builds better ones in a year or so the only thing that would help is Cochlear implant.
My daughter will be contacting a specialist the audiologist gave her a number for to see if I can get one for the right ear.
Even at the strongest (which this one is) I can't hear out of the right ear.
My insurance will cover full cost of most of the cost of the surgery but not for the device.
It didn't even pay for this aid, had to borrow on my life insurance.

The trip (only five miles but high humidity) left me worn out so had to nap, now I'm hoping to get some work done.
I have three projects going, the cat textures, back on my carousel work and , and, um forgot what the other is...lol,

Hope you get it all sorted and also manage to get some work done. Stay safe.

The hearing is great, but now I suddenly jump and look around when I'm alone in my room and here raspy breathing close to me.
Then I realize it's me...lol.
Or hear voices talking and think,"Uh Oh. it's happened, I'm hearing my other self talk to me".
Turns out it just the family in the other rooms, never heard them before when my door is closed.
I flush the toilet and it sounds like I'm standing next to Niagara Falls.

Might take a while getting used to it and not let it distract me from my work.

And speaking of work, the kitty texture is giving me a hard time on the ears.
The is a tiny seam on the ears bump map that I can't get rid of without losing the texture in that area...grrrr!
The tail seam was bad enough but now this. :(

Good news has been in short supply the past few weeks.
We learned that my oldest nephew had stage 4 cancer of the lungs, tonight we got news he just died.
His youngest sister is in the hospital in STL where she just had surgery to staple her stomach in an effort to prevent more acid reflux.
She, her husband and son will be here with us till she recovers, ten days but many cut it short to go attend the funeral if she is able.
In addition to that my baby sister (adopted niece) has been told she has lung cancer too.
Guess in a month or so I'll hear we lost her too.

Life is kicking us to the ground...sigh.

Trying, and if all this isn't bad enough, right after I went in to pick up my hearing aid again after it was fixed, I had to go right back to the same hospital and have blood drawn and a urine test.
I may have an infection and i am sick...ugh.

Life is not being kind to you at the moment, I hope it is just your guardian angel has been on holiday and will be back soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tree days of blood, sweat and tears working on my manuscript and book cover.
Emailed then to ask why it wasn't working as I was using their templates.
So after an explanation that even with the template I still needed to set the margins, gutter and bleed areas.
It finally sank in and now all I do is wait for up to 72 hours for it to land in my bookself at the store.
If these old bones could stand it I'd do a happy dance! :snoopydance: :roflmao:
