What with needing to wear headbands and hats because of the weather, you should see how my hair looks when I get to work! Especially, since I cut it way short a few weeks ago.

No, probably not well enough and I was in a hurry... I've been working outdoors a lot lately and fingers get very dried out and chapped, so the wasabi probably got into the cracks in the skin.
Nowhere near as bad as the habanero pepper I cut and then two hours later, after washing my hands many times, I put my contacts in...
God, that was horrible... You just want to pluck your eyeballs out and throw them as far as possible.

Yeah, I usually wear them when I'm making things that might cause stuff to get in my eyes... Sawdust, metal bits... Fire...
My daughter calls me Harry Potter when I wear them because they are round...
But they are less like Potter's and more like Radar's or Daniel's (from Stargate).
I prefer contacts because glasses have less peripheral vision.
I actually tried to order new contacts from the Internet for the first time today and realized I lost the trial pair's box, so I have no idea what brand it was...
So I'm gonna have to go to the optometrist again...
I must be bugging that poor lady so much... I lost my prescription twice, made her do a second exam for special lenses, lost that prescription, then I went away for a week and when I came back I found all the prescriptions, but I didn't know which was which, because I mixed them up with a previous terrible prescription (great for seeing distant star systems, terrible for walking around) that a colleague of hers prescribed a week before I went to her, so I ended up having to sort that all out with her because there were three different brands...
On top of that all, the day I got the first exam I happened to have a pair of joke glasses with the eyeballs on springs, which my other daughter had asked me to hold for her the day before... So the optometrist asks me if I had my glasses with me and I remembered the joke glasses in my jacket pocket... So I took them out and put them on and said "uh... Just these"...
But the joke fell totally flat because she was looking the other way and got startled when she looked up.
That instant where I had the opportunity for a fairly funny unplanned joke, just turned totally unfunny...
Well... At least she remembers me now.

I like the name Daniel because my mum was going to name me Daniel but she changed her mind after I was born.
It seems like I am unable to type on the on screen keyboard as I keep making typos left and right.
One of my housemates wants to use my phone since the home phone is down. I feel like she abuses the home phone so I am not comfortable lending her my phone. I have two phones. One is expensive and the other is a government phone with limited minutes. I have a lot of minutes but if someone uses and abuse it I will not have enough when I really need it.

Laugh of the day: A guy who stole several checks from a local business this summer deposited three of them into his own bank account. Needless to say the court has told the employee who will be the main witness for the case against another person involved in this that if he gets a summons for the man's just call the courthouse and they'll let him out of that one.
