The Anchorage, Part 3

I had to take everything off the top of the refrigerator so she could jump down to the top of the refrigerator. Then I grabbed her.

The third time, she tried jumping from the top of the refrigerator to the counters. We've spent the rest of the day with boxes stacked on all the counters and stove to keep her off the counters.

But of course, that isn't going to be a feasible solution.

Hopefully she'll outgrow climbing in the kitchen. Have you looked into getting her a cat tree? A friend of mine has one, though she has several cats and they're all over it, each one with her/his own "level" as it were.

Rofl....oh Satira! That is so funny...my kitty jumps up on top of the large dresser we have in the family room. My son and husband get worried about her getting down but I normally think if she got up she can get down. And sure enough she normally does. She used to use the clothes airers as launch pads but now she just jumps.
A picture from when she first did it...

Aftermorning, everyone and what a cracker arvo it is too! Easter Weekend has turned on everything for everyone and I'm very pleased my pals who went out into the Bay got a goodie.

What a scallywag you have there, Satira :)

Some sad news for me...my daughter is really going to move back to the Goldie and won't be in Melbourne when I visit. Got very sad when she told me though didn't let her know how sad it made me. I haven't seen her for over two years and I was really looking forward to my visit with her. My niece lives in Melbourne with her fiancée and I can stay with them but it just won't be the same. So today I am a very sad Easter bunny and to make it worse my choccie bunny tastes awful. So I can't even console myself with chocolate :( One of my friends suggested that perhaps she can fly down to Melbs for the weekend while I'm there. I will ask her and keep my fingers crossed she says yes.

But enough gloom, it's too nice a day for that. I'm going to go and repair some of the damage done in the storm and stop that damn leak that occurred as a result. Wish me luck :)

Oh no...don't stress on my part though Lorraine. I'm working on convincing my husband that we want to visit NZ any way.

Either way you'll get chance to spend some time with your daughter which I'm sure you will love doing! So sad that your Easter Bunny tastes funny though...: ( What is the world coming to when chocolate doesn't help!

edited to add I think I may have misunderstood as I thought you'd be going to see your daughter in Queensland and miss Melbourne...if so ignore this as I totally got the wrong end of the stick.

Good luck with your leak!

Sorry to hear about your daughter's move, Lorraine! And it's rather tragic about the choccie bunny!

Now, my Cadbury eggs were delicious. But, sadly, they are all gone :(

I've looked at cat trees, but haven't seen any I like. She does climb the plant cage, which I have no problems with her doing that. Though, it sure is funny watching her scale it.

The box is no longer on the top, and I've put a blanket on the top for her to sleep on. (Primarily the blanket is there though to prevent her from grabbing the plant leaves.)

Oh Lorraine, sorry you won't get to see your daughter, that has to be disappointing.

Try not to overdo the repairs, or you'll be the next thing that needs repairs.

Anyway, it'll finally be Sunday here in 50 minutes from now, so in case I forget before I get offline, Happy Easter to those who celebrate, and Happy Spring to everyone else. ;)

Okay...I think I may have misunderstood Lorraine's post. Not surprising as my brain is in neutral today and I'm still in jamies. I've altered my post above.

Thanks for all the good wishes, everyone :) And it's ok, Pen, my stick gets turned around and around with me looking for the right end ;)

I think the leak might be fixed but of course, as soon as you think you might have fixed a leak it doesn't rain, so you can't find out! It's a beautiful evening here and I'm happy to be not shoving towels in corners. Hope your day, night goes well, my friends :)

Yeah...truth be told I've been busy doing Diva and testing various things for people rather than a holiday where I just veg.

Aftermorning all! Not sure what the weather is doing today. It's very warm, sky has lots of grey looking clouds but thus far it is dry.

It was lovely here today, but it's scheduled to rain tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it, as I'm supposed to go visit a friend whose sister is in from Michigan. Hopefully if it does rain, it's not a very hard rain.
