Interesting reading...I can remember my children saying when they were young...the lines there..run!
I asked them about it when they grew up and they said they knew how far they could push me because I got a line across my eye...if it reached half way they knew to run!

Yeah, my husband just says "Oh shit, the she-wolf is back" and then hides in his office until he's either figured out what he done wrong, or until I tell him to get his fuzzy butt back out of there. :roflmao:

My husband has a way of telling by sight if I'm stressed in any way. You know that red spot between the eyebrows that many Caucasian infants have? Mine never completely went away. When I'm calm it almost blends in with the rest of my skin and many people don't even notice it. If I'm physically or emotionally stressed that's another matter. If it is flaming red he knows someone is in danger of getting turned into mincemeat.

Bahaha! I think most peeps I know would wish I had a warning signal. But no, I just explode and cause general chaos with everyone going "wha!".

Hey, I can't really blame the man! If he sticks around for just too long after ticking me off to the point that my eyes turn black, well... objects that don't normally have wings suddenly start collecting frequent flyer miles!

Yes, I have a bit of a temper. :sneaky: No, I don't explode easily, but OMG when I do, LOOK OUT!!

...he's been known to also leave the house and hide out in his buddy's house next door, again until he either figures out he what he done wrong, or until I tell him it's time for him to come home.

Something like drawing a line in the sand. ;) I dare you to cross it.

My kids knew it was time to run when, first I asked them nicely, then I told them sternly, then...!

Thanks, Lorraine. :) You are a true sweetheart. It is so good to see all of you again. I don't know about everyone else in the N hemisphere, but I have had a rough winter.

I hope you are all well and happy!

Nice to have you back, Jan!

Oh, yeah. NYC got slammed this year... and my area, we had sub-zero temps for quite a bit. One of the nearby mountain tops actually reached a -114 temperature with the windchill! Yikes!

Though I have to say, the picture they took of one of the trees on that mountain's summit was soooo pretty. :D

Winter wasn't so bad until 2016 arrived. But it was an extremely rough winter in other ways. But spring is around the corner ... even if winter doesn't want to let go.

It's so good to see you Jan. Now ... let's see an avatar

I bet it was. I can remember when the trees around where my mom lived would have ice all along the tree branches in the really low temps, and I remember trying to take pictures of it, but the ice never showed up in the photos.

Yes, but I couldn't stinkin' find it again, or I would have just put a link up to the post that I had first shown it! LOL I was mainly putting it up there for others to peek at. I just think the one picture is so pretty! :D

It's definitely unusual. When we get ice on trees down here, it's clear ice, so it looks pretty when the sun shines on it, but as I said before, I tried photographing it, and it disappeared in the photos.

Hello my lovely and welcome back :) I know I welcomed you in the other thread but this here is "Welcome Home". I missed you and I'm glad you are back with us again :grouphug: I am sorry to hear you've had a bad winter.

However, on the subject of winter, I'm afraid I canna talk. Because it is HOT here, hot and humid and guess what?! That blasted cyclone is supposed to be having another go at us this weekend.
For heaven's sake, just petter out and stop being soooo annoying! Winston by name and Winston by nature. So I'm back on the boat, preparing to hunker and possibly spend the weekend in bed. Sigh.
