The Anchorage, Part 3

It's white out there and I have a Drs visit today. At least it's not too deep. Not sick, just getting a note to allow me to modify the dress code at work for health reasons. The new owners will likely need that paper even though the current one's have not asked for one.

Yup, we got snow late last night as well up here. Luckily though, it wasn't more than an inch or 2, and the sun is shining today, so it's all pretty much melted away already. That's the kind of snow I like . . . happens while I'm sleeping, and melts before I have to leave the house. :D

It has been overcast here all day, so no sun and no melting.

And it's COLD! Too cold!

But at least today is my telecommute day so I didn't have to go out in the weather.

Gosh. I thought I'd posted a thanks Miss B. So ... thanks!

If it snowed here it would be very unusual (being sub-tropical and all :p).
I grew up a couple of hours from the snow fields but it never snowed where we were until the year I moved away, it snowed for 1 day just outside of the town (I was in my mid 20s).

Here too Rae...and we're not sub tropical in Melbourne. Mid 30's here...so far the air conditioning is holding up and I've not really noticed the heat unless I go out. Then I feel like I'm in a sauna...

It's been many decades since we've seen negative temps here, but I don't remember it ever being more than 1 or 2 degrees below.

We had -1F once back in December. Usually happens a few times each winter but I don't think I've seen lower than -5 here.

7 degrees here with rain expected through next week in cloudy old Morecambe after a few nights of cold, frosty weather. Highlight of the year so far is an excited Lucy coming back from a trip to the store with Sara to tell us to "come see because the sky is smiling!". We followed her outside as she pointed at the 1st-quarter moon which formed a great big, perfect Cheshire cat grin above the rooftops!

Icky, icky snow. The streets look nasty since it's been snowing since early morning. Why it couldn't wait till next weekend when we have a Monday holiday. Nooo ... it has to snow today, and temps are expected to remain below freezing until Tuesday.

And ... sure enough. There was just an accident in front of the building.

Yup, woke up around 10:30am this morning, and sure enough, it's snowing again. So far it doesn't look like much of an accumulation, but today it's windy out there, so I suspect a lot of it's just being blown elsewhere, so somewhere there's a huge pile.

Hmmmm, wonder if the streets will be clean enough tomorrow to go to the gym. Hmmmm . . . . .

Woke up to brilliant sun shine, with in 15min turned cloudy. Still its not too hot so that is good, the last few days its been so hot here sleeping has been a issue even with the window open and the fan on
