Yes, weather's cold here too, but I had to go out for a quick run to the store, as I didn't go out yesterday, and I was running out of bottled water. Not a good thing for me. ;)

After over 50 years of being a musician, sorta have an eye for instruments :) Mark's instrument models are always excellent (he also created the Last Supper room and the golgotha crosses).

Oh, yes, tell me about it. I have a wall full of flutes, one keyboard, a Native hand drum, a violin, and a clarinet... and I play all of them. LOL I know about the instruments thing. :)

I just don't usually have much luck finding good ones for freebies - you're much better than I am at digging them up. And yes, I agree about Mark's models. I have always been happy with anything I've gotten from him (and try to make sure I always give him some good ratings and such as well).

Good morning everyone :)

Flute, violin and clarinet...not easy instruments to learn, especially violin. Quite an accomplishment :)

Here's a pic of my practice drum set (good for weak legs), and some of my guitars. Collected a few over the years....would always use them until the fretboard would begin to wear, then replace. The Fenders are the newest...both Fender cutaways were plug-in capable to access the church sound system, all the rest of my instruments were acoustic. Got started in bluegrass as a youngster, progressed to folk and latin, then in my mid-20's used the love of music to serve the church....the mixed background always gave the music a unique flavor, at a time when different styles were not widely accepted in churches. I was briefly in a traveling gospel group just out of high school...sometimes we'd play three different engagements on Sundays....so it was normal to be enthusiastically received at one place, and leave folks with their mouths hanging open in another. Back then the most radical thing for the church was early 70's Andre Crouch...so we were doing his stuff, plus going out on a limb by re-writing popular songs with Christian lyrics....that's usually what got mixed responses...the tunes were familiar pop songs. This was in circles that were accustomed to pianos and quartets, in some cases only organs and choirs. So you get the picture....we were a very sharp point on the cutting edge of change. My only regret was having to retire before being able to explore world music styles...my drummer at the time was capable of the challenge. He was able to do African, but my heart was set on middle eastern. I do have a small darbuka as part of the drum set. Your native hand drum sounded interesting to me :)

Good morning. :)

Sky, that does look pretty good. :)

Today is the last delivery under the current owners at work. Next Saturday should be the first under the new owners. Our shelves are getting pretty thin as the orders the last week have been small for inventory reduction purposes.

Did you get that physical injury issue out of the way? I think you mentioned you needed something from your doctor so you could "adjust" your uniform?

The doctor wanted medical records of the surgery (late June of 1962? I know which hospital but it has changed hands since then and who knows what storage conditions records that old have been in. Have they been computerized? Not likely.) or an MRI or referral to a specialist. I figure I'll just talk to the new manager and if I need to go back to a doctor make sure it's a different one!
ETA: The crazy part is all he really needed to do is take a very close look at the right front quadrant of my neck to see why I'm afraid of anything that might press against it. There is a good chance that any pressure will partially be applied directly to the artery! It isn't in a "valley" between two muscle groups like it is normally (like my left side).

It may depend on how strict the company needs to be on the dress code. I'll find out sometime this week when I get to meet and talk with him.
Finding a doctor who will actually look at my concern instead of just wanting to get money from an expensive test or a referral shouldn't be too hard. The local public health clinic is where I'm planning on going if I need to get a note. They deal with people who can't afford to just get random tests and such all the time.
