I can't find the Bomber Jacket thread.... so posting this here... got so excited when I could have a red plaid hunting jacket by putting Fabi's blanket texture on the jacket!!! This is Rodrigo - well "Jackson" actually- love that morph! ... ready to go hunting... wanted to give a head's up to others for this Jacket material idea! :)

I made gloves by assigning parretdolphin's leather material to Dusk's hands... I'm still tweaking/choosing materials for the gloves...

Welcome! :) and I forgot to add that I did use parrottdolphin's python that comes with her materials to reduce the plaid pattern by 50% for this jacket. :)

Love the jacket, Lyne. Can those materials be used in DS? I mean, does the blanket package come with a textures folder or is it all procedural?

If not any seamless plaid could possibly be used Lorraine...it's the settings that would be the issue.

Eh, really awesome renders everyone! Thanks so much for sharing! :)

Lyne, great use of Fabi's blanket texture on the jacket. It looks great! :)

RICK! *waves* We've missed you !!

Lorraine, It does come with a texture folder, but it's intended for Poser only - so not likely worth getting just for the plaids...

Mmmm, I actually do have some of them. That's a good idea, Pen. I also like the actual blanket package and of course, now we can USE Poser dynamics I'm tempted to get it BUT not if I can't use the materials. My wallet is sooo going to suffer from the release of that script ;)

Cool! Now we've got the DynCreater script us DSers can use Poser dynamics so into the wishlist it's going!

The poser materials wouldn't work especially any displacement as DS uses mid grey as the starting point and Poser Black from memory. Try and see with your own plaids if you can get it working first...

Welcome back Rick! We've missed you...!

OK... moving forward in a big "cowboy out hunting in winter" art piece I'm working on... Here is a cropped bit to show my latest... I took a bit of Laurie's leather for the saddle map into Photoshop and fashioned a "rifle scabbard"... I mean, he's got to have his bedroll and thingy to hold the rifle, right? I "fastened" both on with bits of the reins... I wish we DID have saddle bags, bedroll, rifle scabbard, etc. for the saddle, but till such time, I'm finding ways! Hope the scabbard, which is entirely 2D looks more like 3d?? I also switched out the shotgun (sorry, CAN'T see shooting a buck with shotgun pellets or that horrible buck shooting single pellet my friend said COULD be used) with one of Questor's rifles, with tweaked materials... his weapons can't be subdivided, but hold up pretty darn well I think! This is his Remington rifle.... The bedroll is mine with parrottdolphin's Linin material... I do want to fix up the end with post work to make it look like a ROLLED UP bedroll... forgot that part... OH and I also darkened down Laurie's jeans with a shade of gray ... and applied a texture to Dusk's hands to TRY and look like gloves (might tweak the color again, I don't like it)... NEED GLOVES for Dusk!! I'm not really happy with applying a tweaked leather to his hands, but it'll have to do.... oh and of course Dusk's hat (Laurie's mat, again darkened with shade of gray) with Flint's beaded hat band... I'M HAVING FUN! :)

and yes, no mane... both will be added with Laurie's wonderful 2d manes and tails.... I don't know HOW artists like Flint can use Harry's mane and tail SO WELL, I just can't seem to get the poses I want... and yes, I've read and studied...I just get frustrated that I can't quite control them - especially the mane... sorry!!!

PS I REALLY like your Jackson morph, Laurie! It really does look like "Indiana Jones"... Harrison Ford... grin!

OH and I also relaxed Dusk down INTO the saddle...cowboy's have a more relaxed/longer stirrup "pose" I feel... makes ME more relaxed to look at... LOL!

Ohhh, this is wonderful Lyne! I was just going to ask you where you got the rifle scabbard, and then read through your notes and saw it was a 2D image. Hot Damn woman, you made it work perfectly. :D

I'm really liking the jacket texture. ;)
