OK... moving forward in a big "cowboy out hunting in winter" art piece I'm working on... Here is a cropped bit to show my latest... I took a bit of Laurie's leather for the saddle map into Photoshop and fashioned a "rifle scabbard"... I mean, he's got to have his bedroll and thingy to hold the rifle, right? I "fastened" both on with bits of the reins... I wish we DID have saddle bags, bedroll, rifle scabbard, etc. for the saddle, but till such time, I'm finding ways! Hope the scabbard, which is entirely 2D looks more like 3d?? I also switched out the shotgun (sorry, CAN'T see shooting a buck with shotgun pellets or that horrible buck shooting single pellet my friend said COULD be used) with one of Questor's rifles, with tweaked materials... his weapons can't be subdivided, but hold up pretty darn well I think! This is his Remington rifle.... The bedroll is mine with parrottdolphin's Linin material... I do want to fix up the end with post work to make it look like a ROLLED UP bedroll... forgot that part... OH and I also darkened down Laurie's jeans with a shade of gray ... and applied a texture to Dusk's hands to TRY and look like gloves (might tweak the color again, I don't like it)... NEED GLOVES for Dusk!! I'm not really happy with applying a tweaked leather to his hands, but it'll have to do.... oh and of course Dusk's hat (Laurie's mat, again darkened with shade of gray) with Flint's beaded hat band... I'M HAVING FUN!
and yes, no mane... both will be added with Laurie's wonderful 2d manes and tails.... I don't know HOW artists like Flint can use Harry's mane and tail SO WELL, I just can't seem to get the poses I want... and yes, I've read and studied...I just get frustrated that I can't quite control them - especially the mane... sorry!!!
PS I REALLY like your Jackson morph, Laurie! It really does look like "Indiana Jones"... Harrison Ford... grin!
OH and I also relaxed Dusk down INTO the saddle...cowboy's have a more relaxed/longer stirrup "pose" I feel... makes ME more relaxed to look at... LOL!
