Unfortunately, not everyone has upgraded to Poser 11 Standard of Pro. Would be nice for folks who have Genesis3 products to use it in say Poser10 or PP2014 at the very least, but possibly there's a part of the utility that is native to P11.

I just like the way two wonderful people with their own blood sweat and tears put this out there for free, when the two big software companies sit like children in opposite corners refusing to play nicely, with their baying supplicants pointing fingers and calling the other one poo.
Clearly the incompatibility issues are not insurmountable. Smith Micro... the market demands this...

I really like the family friendly attitude here at the Hivewire and wouldn't want that to change.
But I was wondering how hard it would be to have an "Adults Only" forum section that is a little more liberal (horror related and artistic nudes not porn) that could be locked so only those that have the AO filter checked can see into that forum? (Or perhaps a sister site/forum/store, a kind of DarkHive)
I would not expect to see any of the above in this Space-Time Continuum. Well, except for the family friendly attitude part

Pity, but I don't use Poser much since I got used to the DS interface. Still would have been nice, and will be when I can get 11 at a good discount.
One of my 3D Skype contacts has managed to successfully force the G3's to work via the DSON. Imperfect solution, I know. But she proved it could be done. She was modded off of their forums for even mentioning it (post deleted).
I'm actually glad to see this utility being put out there. I have downloaded it, in case I ever do manage to get my hands on a copy of P11 or higher. I'm very glad to see it. Frankly, SM needs to do something like this, and while this is the venture of independent folks which frankly, ought to be viewed as shameful by the two companies that it was even needed in the first place... well at the same token, isn't that how we've always done things?
In all my years doing this hobby - going back to 2002 here - this is what we've always done. If one or both companies refused to make something work the way we wanted it to, someone, somewhere, among us the userbase, have MADE it WORK, SOMEHOW.
I've been using dynamics off and on in DS long before DynCreator. How? I imported the pertinent parts of my DS scenes to Poser as OBJ, ran the sim in Poser, then exported the whole mess out of Poser as OBJ again and imported that new OBJ to my DS.
Major workaround. Should not be needed, right? But it DID work. Now we have the script which allows to use Poser dynamics as well as turn many conformers into dynamics. It's personal use only, of course, but it allows us to use the dynamic functions and soft body physics without having to go through the Poser pipeline and a zillion OBJs to do it. One person MADE it WORK and let the rest of us have access to it.
That's how this hobby rolls. That's how it's always rolled. Want something to work a certain way? Find a way to do it, share it if you can.

Chris, I love the way you phrase your comments; very blunt and to the point without being nasty. That's a difficult skill to hone, and I have a lot of respect for that.
I will not concern myself with any perceived "wars." We are all artists. We are all end users and-or creators in one way or another. We are all here for the same reason, and the same hobby, and personally I love that we all arrive at our end points with such a wide, and different array of toolboxes.
It's great to see the overall tone of this thread improving. This is a good sign, and I'm glad to see it.

Hey, those of you posting food porn... got any berries? I miss my berries. I can't wait for summer so I can get some more harvested and maybe canned. We have a small mulberry tree in our backyard. It produces like CRAZY for a few weeks in the early part of the summer.
It just started producing two years ago, and WOW, the mulberries ripen so fast that no matter how much we harvest we always have a littering of them on the ground for the birds!

I'm so old school (read: poor) that I still use V3 and V4, where I have tons of stuff. Haven't gotten into Genesis or upgraded to latest Poser, for that matter. Maybe if I was rich I'd buy it all, but I don't know.
I might be marginal, I have no idea, but that's where I am. I have DS but find it awkward to use, kind of like I find Blender awkward to use.
Perhaps I'm just making a donkey out of myself, but that's where I'm at and that's where RDNA have been a glorious haven - along with their unique, nowhere-else-to-be-found (in my limited knowledge) items, ranging from the bizarre to the insanely creative. That is what I will miss. I rarely haunt forum or such because of time limits, so I can't claim to know many, but I understand many will miss that too.
I am at home with my sketch pad and pencil and my watercolour, and while I have tried oil it didn't agree with me at all. Same with Poser and DS, I know the former and cannot seem to get along with the latter. What I have there is mostly just laying around and not getting used, like the oil painting material. Then again, perhaps I am turning into legacy content myself, I don't know. As long as my PC can run the old programmes I suppose I can keep tinkering.
