Never drank Pepsi, diet or otherwise.
If that's what I think it is, I have one, with a cover, that's an antique. My best long time friend back in the day was a school teacher, and her school was getting rid of a bunch of things they were updating, so she grabbed it.
She moved to Florida when she retired, so couldn't take a bunch of things because the wood wouldn't be able to take the temperature/humidity, so I grabbed it and use it for recipes.

When I was a kid, I'd drink Coca Cola, but sometimes I'd get a bottle of Tab, or Diet Rite soda, Fanta Orange, Fresca. I think I really liked the Diet Rite. But later, I discovered Dr. Pepper. It's still my favorite!

Yes. I don't drink soda much these days, but Dr. Pepper was good.

Never used them myself. Sometimes a teacher would select a kid to operate it. But this looks a lot newer than the ones I remember.

I only have it once a day, with supper. And I only have about 6 to 8 ounces. I used to drink it all day and night.

I couldn't either. There was the nasty period of time (early 80's?) where all the old cartoon characters suddenly got a smart-ass "kid" sidekick. The Jetsons got orbitty (when they picked up the early 60's series again, in the 80's). They never could understand gen-x

I remember every year, the little school kit we'd buy would have one of these. We never used them. Remember eraser smell? ^.^
My dad used to do taxes using that and an abacus, though. My brother and I used the abacus as a skateboard (in the time before skateboards. Maybe we invented them???). Dad wasn't happy with the creativity, though.
