I did this in just about an hour in total... so easy with Lisa's fallen log...Mel's Serene water background, blurred... and of course Ken's sparrows and the great Hercules moth! :)

Lovely...I'm waiting on the weekend before grabbing the new set. Hopefully the exchange rate will improve.

Nice renders Lyne, looks like you're enjoying those king-size moths... It's hard to believe that they do dwarf the birds with their 10" wingspans.

I'm actually trying to picture that 10" wingspan, and finding it hard to believe a moth that large exists.

Thanks, it's so easy to make great art, when I start with Ken's models! :)

Puriri Moths.jpg

An NZ endemic, the puriri (pronounced poo-ree) moth lives for only 48 hours after emerging from its burrow in the puriri tree where it may have lived for up to five years. The moth to the foreground is the female and in the background, a male hovers.

Ohhhhh. Even so though, it seems like they only live to mate, and 2 days seems like to short a time to live.
