*waves* Thanks, Alisa. Our lovable monster was definitely memorable. It's been decades, but still miss him (I'm a tragic case, I know). Actually, we had a couple manx catss and they were a bit Garfield-like in personality. LOL They wanted attention when they deemed it so, but were a law unto themselves the rest of the time (which was fine, I'm not into "lap kitty" sort of "attention always" sorts).

Color sort of looks like Laurie's Tabbys, but the body shape and that stump of a tail are sure unique!

I'm a linguistics geek, and one of my linguistic books talking about child language acquisition was discussing the concept of "prototypes" (i.e., the first thing you think of when you hear a word--for example, most of us probably associate the word "cow" with a Holstein). To demonstrate the concept he explained that he had a Manx cat, so his toddler daughter always drew cats without tails because for her the prototypical cat was a Manx.

I was wondering/thinking the same. Wonter has decended on me here and I am starting to work on 3D art stuff now. I can't do much with snow, cold, frozen ground, etc outside soooo...

When I got my first cat at 11 years old, that was the way she greeted me including sideway jumps. She was only 7 weeks old and just moved into her furever home and met all kind of strangers.......
