BACKGROUND:
The Cavalear is one of many Powersuites fielded by the Astronomican Combine, both prior to, and during the Division Wars. The Cavalear was not fielded in anywhere near the numbers of the Liberty suites, or other models of Powersuite, but still saw widespread use. As with many of the suites of the Cavalear's design lineage, it is a more high-performance suite than other comparable models in it's weight class, and was a favorite among aces, and show-offs.
This image was created using Artistic Lining Pens. It was rendered on a medium tooth drawing surface, found in a leatherbound, Tara sketchbook (8.5 x 11 inch). The entire piece took me about 6 hours to complete. It is one of many planned mechanical designs for an ongoing science fiction storyline I was working on at the time. The majority of other designs never did get finished. I hope someday to return to this (among other) projects.
