Lol yes I do that too, only problem is my cupboards are all ready full to bursting with boxes of my partners that we need to go through and sort out but just don't have the time to before xmas and the ovens out as I'll be using that. Might have to see if there is any room under my sons bed lol

The sun is shining here but that's all I know. I've been in hospital since Saturday. I have a DVT (blood clot) in my whole leg OMG the pain is way worse than the surgery I had. I can't bend my leg or put any weight on it. At the moment its getting worse before the blood thinners kick in. I don't know yet but might have to spend Xmas in here

Adding my sympathies and wishes for a quick recovery.

WOW, that's pretty bright for 4:40 in the morning. I'm lucky if it's more than a very dark, dull grey, though it is lighter in the summer months, but not that much.

Then again, I live near tall buildings, so that probably blocks a lot of the sunrise.

Overcast and the odd shower here, warm and humid. The summer solstice today, winter is coming

That's so funny, as tomorrow (the 21st) is our winter solstice. Winter is DEFINITELY coming. The bad months are yet to come. ~shakes head~

It was a balmy 27F when I drove to work this morning. That's obscene.

I know. Wasn't that much warmer later in the afternoon when I went to the store.

Winter has definitely arrived in this corner of the world. Popped to the store this morning and it was ruddy freezing. I was sorely tempted to turn back and put a second tee-shirt on or, Heaven forbid, a coat!

Hope you are feeling better Rae! Much more fun feeling the sun on your face than watching it through a window young lady!

My summer solstice got a mite hairy yesterday afternoon. There are gazillions of inflatable dinghies tied up at the cruising club plus boats with very short painters. I managed to barge my way into the mob but upon stepping out, my dinghy got pushed from underneath me. I ended up hanging on to the dock with both arms, feet still in the dinghy, butt in the water, yelling for help. When that help arrived I insisted upon them grabbing my handbag first and saving my phone before they attempted to retrieve me. I suffered bruises to body and pride but the phone stayed dry so I think that's a win.
