Thing is Lorraine I wouldn't mind so much if I'd had it awhile but I've only had it a year and its swallowed money from day one

Man I do hate a lemon! Had two of them in my car owning life, Triumph 2000's the both of them. My bestest ever car was a little manual Toyota Starlet which was like driving a rally car, stuck to the road like the proverbial to a blanket. She was stolen from Opua, taken to Moerewa and set in fire...I put a serious hex on the thief, hope it happened.

This is a ford mondao and it is living up to the "Fix Or Repair Daily" your old Toyota sounds like the Nissan I had. Wet like a cut cat and never gave any problems.
After the transmition on this hunk of junk went, with in a month of getting it, the yard no longer wanted to know about it. I made dang sure they footed the bill for fixing that!

Another good reason to pass on Fords. Never owned one, never will. My son is making noises about getting one, I've threatened to disinherit him, I didn't bring him up to do things like that! Holden won Bathurst, NOT Ford.

LOL too right! I wont ever own another one, I'd rather walk!
I'd be threatening a bit more than disinheritance!

He fixes my computer, I can't threaten much more ;) Hate to be up poop creek without my hobby. But as his inheritance is an old boat and years of hard work, not sure that's working anyway ;) I'm a Holden girl from way back, I'm famous up here for crashing and killing a 69 Monaro, not one of my better moments :(

Humm yeah you don't want to be without you personal computer tech. I can see how it might not be much of an incentive to some lol. Yep if I have to pick one its Holden, that is not really some thing you want to be famous for :(

Hmmmm, I had my 1975 Ford Mustang for 10 years, and then sold it because someone's daughter saw it and wanted it.

I have to say, though, it was the only American made car I ever owned. I had a Toyota Corolla for a few years, before it was stolen, and then I had my 1988 Subaru GL until I ran it into the ground about 11 years later. That was the last car I owned.

@Miss B I think your Fords are totally different to ours and not from the same place, just happen to have the same name. I could be wrong on that.

Dreamer are you down under also? I hope your car woes improve, same with Terre!

Mum was sitting in a chair when I saw her today. She is getting her catheter out tomorrow and here's hoping that she can come home on Friday...

I'm in Melbourne...when Lorraine came over recently we had coffee.

Yeah...I'm really glad she is doing well. I'll be glad when she's home.

Oh Melbourne is nice, mum took me once years ago and I have wanted to go back ever since

I can understand that

Yeah Melbourne is a great city...lots of great restaurants and coffee shops! I'm hoping to visit NZ maybe next year if I can get myself organised.

I'll have to give you a shout the next time I'm down, Dreamer, would love to get together for a natter :)

Pleased to hear your mum is up out of bed, Pen, a good sign :)

I was just talking to someone at the club tonight about Ford Mustangs, Miss B, both of us agreed they were fab. The Monaro was the Holden equivalent, gorgeous cars. But not upside down in a gorse bush :(
