The Anchorage, Part 3

Good evening. :)
Just got a call from the insurance adjuster. They managed to arrange the same guy to get the new claim so he says he's emailed me the new info.

Got the estimate from the insurance adjuster for the hail damage from last October. It comes out to a claim worth following through on when the wind damage one from the Blizzard called Goliath wasn't. We've had another shingle blow loose in the most recent winds. I figure it was loosened in the blizzard and finally tore off.

So true! Even yesterday, after the lovely weekend I has with my sis, I was thinking "Lovely to see you, lovely to see you go" and she would have been thinking the same ;)

Morning Terre...that is good news!
Big grin here.
I'm going to call him back tomorrow afternoon and discuss the options. Depending on how much more expensive a metal roof is we might be able to do it. Paying the difference between what the insurance will pay to replace the shingles and the cost of metal is something we both think is probably worth doing. I'll see Monday.

I'm getting used to the new quote system and finding I like it.

Now to find a roofer. One suggestion my MIL made is to go with Home Depot. She figures that they'll be around quite a while when some of the roofers listed in the book could close on short notice for whatever reason.
When she got this house renovated 8 1/2 years ago the contractors that worked with Lowes did decent work. There were just a few small points we weren't happy with. Hmmm....

Yay Terre! Glad you're making progress on the claim.

Tsuki can't decide whether to play or snuggle. So she's been trying to do both at the same time. Quite a dilemma for a small kitten.

After-morning all :) An overcast and not so warm day in Aucks...good for my shift this arvo. Keep playing on the interwebs instead of pulling finger...I do not like vacuuming. #fourmoresleeps

Great news, Terre, and soon(ish) your roof woes will be past, yay!

A very cute dilemma. :)

I don't know Vesper does fine with it. She snuggles and holds onto me sometimes and won't let go. Gently of course...

Oh noes, Pen, that's ghastly :shineon::sleep: . It's raining here now and whilst I was shifting house. Things got a bit damp, I got a bit damper.

Yeah...plagued by sinus this summer. I think it's driven by allergies as their always saying the pollen count is high this year.

I'm having a lazy day and converting some of the new characters I got for Dawn over to DS. Done Soraka and Alva....going to do Sato next and then the one by Tempesta...I think she was called Alyce.

That sounds fun! I haven't bought any morphs/characters for a while...bickies, UPS, etc...but after I've scooped up Ken's Moths Vol 2 I shall be in the market for them again.

I have a bit of money to spend for my birthday and I've been looking at Rendo trying to pare down my wishlist which is now under $3000 but still has a long way to go. It's no wonder I'm always broke...Ken's moths are on my list of things to purchase also. I have the first one but not the expansions.
