Hanging in there. I've been playing with shaders in PP11 the past few days, and having fun.

One of the members over at SM's Poser Forum created a compound shader, and uploaded it to ShareCG. Then s/he (I'm not sure which, because I sometimes guess wrong by the avatar) uploaded screenshots of how to use it to create different kinds of materials, metals, etc. I'm having fun. ;)

Morning all!

Got good news, my operation is back on at the end of Oct (if all goes well with pre-admission interview).

Only down side is I won't be able to do any art afterwards :( for a little while anyway :) I don't even know if I'll be able to jump on the computer at all, I'll go into HW withdrawal :p

Yay more Diva stuff! :applause:

Thanks Miss B...I'm doing a purple version as well and I'm going to do the other items as well using the same textures. I wanted to try out some stitch brushes I bought.

Beautiful Pen.

Normally around 4 days in hospital (but because of my weight it might be longer) and normally can go back to work around 1.5 months but because mine has stairs (no lift) I'll be off work for 3 months (which I can so not afford, and because I have a PC instead of a Mac they won't let me work from home).

Thanks Rae...

That's a long time off work...can you get any help from the government during that time? Pity about the issue with the pc...

Oh I bought a bunch of those years ago, don't recall off-hand from whom, but it was at R'osity I'm pretty sure.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Oh that's not good. I was out of work for about 6 weeks back in '96 with a very bad case of pneumonia. I was sick for a week, checked myself into the hospital, and was there for 12 days. Then I was home another 3 weeks before I went back to work mid-week. Didn't want to try a whole week when I first went back to work.

I'm assuming your health insurance doesn't cover sick leave? I got paid the whole time I was out, so I can't imagine what it would be like if I hadn't, especially since I still had a mortgage to pay.

As far as the computer goes, your office doesn't have an extra Mac desktop/laptop they can lend you while you're out? That way you could be productive and earn some, even if not your full salary.

OK, that answers my question in my post above.

That's a bummer...but at least with hubby working you should be able to manage.

Thanks...
