It took a few years for us to figure out that when John drank whiskey, he got mean. He absolutely loved Jim Beam, but stopped drinking it once we made the connection.

He mostly drank beer after that. Or tequila on occasion (nasty stuff that!)

But, it sure irritated me no end that we had to do without a number of things when money was tight, but never his beer. Was rather hypocritical of him to complain about the cost (all $20) when I changed my name back to my birth name. Not like we hadn't discussed it, and he'd claimed to be ok with it.

Just one of many times he told me what he thought I wanted to hear instead of what he really felt.

Ended up costing him me :p

You just don't mess with a Scorpio ... even when she's on the Libra / Scorpio cusp.

I've been telling folks that for aaaaaaaaaages Satira, but do they listen??? Heck no. I may be on the cusp, but I'm a pure 100% Scorpio, no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!!

My baby sister is a Capricorn... early January birthday. She is a real fire cracker herself! The difference between her and me? Mine will stew for a while... she goes off at the first push of a button. LMAO

In a way, I think her method is kinder.

Absolutely!! I tend to stew as well, but when the volcano blows, you better not be anywhere within easy reach.

Yep, that's me. I have a very, very long fuse. But when it goes off, there's a massive blast radius, and there's usually collateral damage... LOL.

My sister? Almost no fuse. You tick her off, she just explodes on the spot at you. There's a little bit of a blast radius, but it's over and done with. My mother was fond of reminding me that people always knew where they stood with her, and why couldn't I be the same? Apparently, I leave some folks looking over their shoulders.... :sneaky:

She didn't like my response when I pointed out that if people treated everyone with respect, they wouldn't have to look over there shoulders to check my fuse. :p

Definitely no fuse with me, it's just 'BOOM', game over. Peeps still look over their shoulders but :sneaky:. I remember being at the club once and some new guy was being smart. When I left the table to go to the ladies one of my friends said he told the guy "I'm not sure if you're brave or just stupid, she would have smacked me if I said that". Shows I CAN be polite in public if I put my mind to it, cos I really did want to smack the guy ;)

It's a brilliantly sunny and warm as day today, the sun shining in the wheelhouse windows and me thinking I should put on a swimsuit and sunbathe inside ;) Off ashore soon for my weekly trip into town, grocery and service station shopping plus some fittings for the boat.

Oh I must tell you guys this, even though it won't mean a lot to you. My pals, Matt and Rose, have just launched their boat Cuckoo, which they have been building since before they got married. 17 years, four children, one cat, two dogs, umpteen shifts of abode - the boat always going with them - and FINALLY today, she is sitting on the ramp at Waitara in Taranaki waiting for the tide to come in. 50' of thumping huge catamaran and very soon they will be living up here in the river near me. I'm so happy and proud of them I could BURST :applause::balloon02::balloon03::bounce::love::snoopydances::snoopydance::wub:

Oh, and I forgot to say, I was there at the very beginning of Cuckoo's creation, watching Matt put up the first frames. 17 years, just, wow!

I wish I was there, I feel like my grandbaby has been born and I wasn't there to welcome her.

On Cuckoo in the river. You can only be ON a river if no part of you or your abode is below the surface...and not many boats meet that criteria ;)
