I am SO glad you're back!

Grrrrr!!!!

I am so ticked.

I was creating a really close up render of the suit so you could get a really good look at the alien nature of the material.

After wasting a couple hours of my life, I realized as I was looking at it that I had POKE THROUGH on her left elbow... It's a dynamic simulation! Why is there poke through? Aaaggghhhh.

Going to fix that and redo the render.....

That is annoying. Actually, anything you find wrong AFTER you've finished rendering is annoying. But more annoying for me is when DS crashes when you hit the render button and you haven't saved the scene. That sends me into a screaming tantrum that fortunately nowt but a dog has seen.

I can empathize Lorraine, that's why I've gotten anal about saving before doing anything like simming or rendering.

I learned my lesson the hard way back when I was using Poser 5. It used to stall in the middle of a render each and every time. I can't say that it was P5's fault, because it was back in the days when I was on my Win98 SE desktop, and it wasn't a "new" computer, so it could've just been the lack of needed resources, but I got the point.

Yeah, it's annoying, but it got fixed. If it weren't for the fact that I bumped up Poser's render settings and the whole affair took almost 2 hours to complete, I probably wouldn't have been ticked off.

I try not to throw tantrums in front of my dog. Last time I did, she ran away and didn't come home for 3 days. With the new guy, he'd probably just look at me as if to say "you're silly".

The dogs I pupsit are so used to me going off at my computer that one doesn't even look up anymore and the other comes over to me, puts his head on my lap, and oozes concern, "are you ok, Aunty Lorraine?" say his big brown eyes.

I don't really lose my temper. If I do get mad, anyone who knows me knows that something is really wrong. I had one friend how actually told me once that he's only seen me mad once in 10 years. And we are around each other daily. So when I do get flipping mad, everyone takes note.

I'm the total opposite. I get mad at the drop of a hat, wave my arms around and bellow. But only in the privacy of my own space. In public I only do that if it's something really, REALLY bad happening to someone else and then I become a force of nature.

I often wish my big red angry button was harder to push. It does give me a lot of actual headaches. Upset is a better default than incandescence.

There are tricks and techniques. I learned young that getting upset or mad has its place.

Remember my rules? Don't sweat the small stuff. It's all small stuff. Has worked for me for 30 years.

I'm so with you on this Lorraine...and though I try and remember to save beforehand it's always the time I forget that it crashes.

Isn't that always the way it is?

I get a little caught up in everything and will forget to save. Then Poser crashes and the whole scene is gone. I didn't save any of it.....:(

I think he gets help from us sometimes. If I'd saved as I went I wouldn't have lost a scene I couldn't duplicate. So I have mostly myself to blame. Poser was getting more stable, but I hear from folks on other sites that there are issues with 11 that are yet to be resolved. So backup, backup, backup. Or scream at Murphy.

Me: "Murphy, you blankety blank!!!"

Murphy: "What did I do? You're the one with your hand on the mouse!"

I'm trying and generally succeeding in saving a scene as soon as I start so it has a name and then saving regularly. It's just the 'Save Before You Render' bit I so often forget. It's not so bad now with the upgraded computer but it still happens. Oh, and always saving before importing a LaMH preset, that's been a new one to learn. Sigh.
