• Welcome to the Community Forums at HiveWire 3D! Please note that the user name you choose for our forum will be displayed to the public. Our store was closed as January 4, 2021. You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. This is not an overnight process so please be patient, if you have already emailed them about this. If you have NOT emailed them, please see the 2nd post in this thread for instructions on what you need to do

Runtime DNA merges with DAZ 3D

They are offered as freebies with purchase and if you already had them from RDNA you get a $20 store credit. They gave me the credit even though I hadn't purchased all 4 modules. So I picked up the Wolf 2.0 for Poser and spent nothing plus I got modules 3 and 4 of Render Studio 2014 free as well. It was a pretty sweet deal for me. I do have Studio 4.9 downloaded although I won't be using it.

I think Willow may need a little friend!!!

Also, do I need to put the 2 other items in my cart before I use the credit?

Just making sure.

All the best.

I did put Render Studio 2014 in my cart with the wolf 2.0. I had checked my product list at DAZ and Render Studio wasn't yet in it so I figured it was the safest bet.

I'm with you on not having a lot of trust with the current Daz ownership. Studio itself is a good tool and most of its users are great people. A small group drank way too much hater-ade, but that can also be said about a small group of Poser users (in fact, any group of humans).

I think HW3D is a good example of users of both platforms existing in a friendly, peaceful environment. In fact, the collaborative efforts of the CAs here to try to get store products working for both platforms is amazing. In the end, we're all just people trying to make art with whatever platform meets our needs or budget.

I was disappointed when I learned that Mortem Vetus was moving to D3D. Especially since they are retiring some of their line. I secretly hoped they would fall in love with Dawn/Dusk and start a new line here.
I love that new tag "Hater-ade" love it!

As for more support for Dawn and Dusk... I think artists that depend on their works to pay their bills are hesitant adopting new figures for the most part. In time I think these figures will become well supported. There was a mention of of a Dawn and Dusk 2.0 from another poster and I certainly see that happening as time goes on.... all figures benefit from improvements and as a result of that gets noticed and re-noticed. So perhaps fav vendor artists like Mortem Vetus will jump into the Hive at some point.

Welcome to all the new members. BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ :p

Oh, that's pretty funny. Just another one of those moments when you realize how petty this silliness is.

It's been a trying day here. My daughter works as a vet tech and was mauled by 3 dogs today at work. She's OK, but has severe bites on both arms and is in pretty intense pain tonight.

It makes one realize that pettiness has to take a back seat to LIFE.
OMG, that's horrible. I hope all her wounds heal and she can forgive the canine community for the bad actions of a few.... :(

Thank you! We're considering going back to the ER for some xrays on her left arm. They didn't do them yesterday and she's having real trouble with it today - badly swollen and she's having trouble making a fist. We're gonna give it part of the day to see if we can get/keep the swelling down. Pain the 2nd day is always worse, but the swelling is the concern at this point if we can't get it under control.

Dunno. Could be then, could be a month before the store is moved over. *shrug* I took a break from the forum there due to some rather childish slinging of "Poser is going to die and you all deserve it" along with "I can't wait to rip so-and-so's model apart because of how they tore apart Dawn" crap.
Yup, I bowed out a week ago when the mud slinging, negativity and dire stuff started up. Too stressful. I don't like being stressed out over stuff that's truly not world shattering. Things always work out (most of the time) but folks hate change so I get it but just don't like all that other crap! Don't need it! Nice to see you here DarwinsMishap! :)

Do keep an eye on it!!! If there is heat in the affected area and also too if the swelling increases, then you might want to take her in for a look. Cat scratch fever is not life threatening, but It can be rather painful if she did get scratched by the cat. Also dog bites tend to be septic it's good she got the dose of antibiotics. Sorry, EMT training setting in.
