You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. This is not an overnight process so please be patient, if you have already emailed them about this. Instead, I calculated the difference between the cost of the PC Subscription over the last several years and what I'd saved during that time. Turned out, I was spending money for a mostly unused subscription when that money could be better spent elsewhere on content I actually wanted and would use. I just don't make enough money to throw it away, you know?
Absolutely! This is my decision as well. Once the PC+ subscription ran out, that was it because I don't have or want Genesis 2/Genesis 3 products, and my 2 favorite prop/environment PAs at DAZ have become too expensive for me to afford their products.

As much as I like my generation 4 (and sometimes even generation 3) characters, I'm into the HiveWire family of products more than the others of late. Hmmmm, I think I need to get Dawn, Dusk, V4 and M4 together in a render. Hmmmm . . .

Just got up, Napalm, after a very refreshing sleep :) and fortunately for me the drop bears didn't make it across the Tasman with the pesky possums so I'm safe (and if they ever do, I don't think they can swim like those pesky possums can ;) )

I spotted how the PC was going a loooooooong time ago, I pointed out that there was getting less and less stuff for Poser and.... as usual was told I was just stirring etc.

No sense in paying into something to get nothing out of it.

All the best.

Stryke Angel is really cool. Since I never bought Star, I really never looked at products for her.

Soo ... you ever think about making something like that for Dawn?

LOL, that was longer, I think, Pen :p

They have samples at Costco for some machine - name escapes me..and they add all sorts of fruit & veggies - they're surprisingly good!

He does - love Traveler's props and own a bunch myself!

I think Alisa's right Pen, I think you beat the last post! lol

Funny with plants. There are a couple of merchant artists at DAZ that are making their plants without any transmaps. I know in iRay transparency renders ALLOT faster (it really does) but the less on resources the better. SO I tend to retire older sets that relied very heavily on transmaps. These new plants are actually modeled leaves and flowers. Quite realistic looking too. Just wish more folks would do those so I can fully retire the older generation of trans-plants. *giggle* :p

I have yet to retire those. I use a mixture of transmapped with full geometry plants. I find that the transmapped ones are much lighter on resources for filling up the background, but I use full geometry plants for foreground and middle ground.

The transparency does increase render times especially with DOF, but allows me to set up all my figures and full scene the way I like, so for me the trade off with the final render times are worth it.
