Having gotten to know you better here at the Hive Seliah, I can actually picture that. :D

Haha yeah... one of the longer stretches for me (8 days... long story, and no I'm not joking) my girl and my Bear had a "discussion" too close in earshot. The "discussion" was HE wanted to wake me up to cook dinner, and told HER to go do it.

Teenagers being teenagers... are highly opinionated of course... she informed him.. LOUDLY... that there was no way SHE was going "IN THERE" and if he didn't like the idea of continuing to breathe, HE could do it! He cracked the door open, and I was just awake enough by this point to be very, very annoyed.

He asked me later what on Earth made me choose my college anatomy textbook to throw at his head... ;)

 :roflmao:

Fortunately, Bear is skilled in the art of ducking.

Hi, everyone. :)

Seliah, great to see you. I've been watching your artwork.

Satira, me girl, there's an avatar for you. ;-) It's Pauline.

I am glad to be back, Lorraine. Thanks for re-inviting me. Whew, I for one, will be glad to see spring! I hope you have great fun with your hunkering.

I hope everyone else has a marvelous weekend, too! :) Again, great to be here with you all.

Thanks, MissB. :) Nice to see you, too.

Seliah, that's a hefty textbook to waft at Mr. Bear. ;-) I'm glad he ducked.

Love to all.

Hey everyone! Another hot, HOT day in Opua. Will be going for a swim real soon as the brown water has FINALLY given way to green (which is a good thing, we don't get blue water up here being its a mud bottomed river).

Oh gosh Seliah, I think we may have been separated at birth  I broke my husband's finger when he thought it would be a good idea to wake me up by tickling my foot...that leg kicked out so fast, he didn't have time to move. He never did it again...

Hey Jan, great to have you back in the gang :) I hope it warms up for you soon. Even though that means it will cool down for me. I never thought I would ever say this but I'm over this summer and I'm looking forward to autumn.

Good morning, folks. ;) Well, morning for me. LOL. At least the insomnia finally let up! Trying to catch up on everything here... working on the first cup of coffee as well here.

Thanks, MissB. :) Nice to see you, too.

Jan, it's really nice to see you. :) Love the avatar! Pauline can be very cute if worked with, I think...

I've been watching your creations, too. I love your items, even if a lot of my rendered girls are too much a tomboy to wear dresses... LOL. It's really nice to have you back!

The book... Yes, it is hefty, but I had been awake for 8 days in a row, and he is a grown man who can work a stove once in a blue moon. He had a years-long habit of waking me for every little thing, and telling people that he thought it was just laziness or lack of self control to need to sleep like a nocturnal creature. Not only did that annoy me, but I also worked the graveyard shift in healthcare, often on little to no sleep, where he demands the world stop turning so that he does not get less than 9 hours of sleep. So yep, the wolf got a wee bit annoyed.

He's been married to me long enough to have known better in the first place. He knows my temper! I don't want to hurt him, but dang, when you marry fire, you'd better be fire proof! Fortunately, he is... mostly. LOL

Whew, I for one, will be glad to see spring! I hope you have great fun with your hunkering.

I know what you mean! Hopefully we will see spring sooner rather than later here. I'm good with snow and cold, but sub-freezing to the extreme like we have had this winter can be hard on people. We should start to see spring soon, though. It is almost March now. :)

Hi Pen, how was your day? Super busy? TGIF?

Very definitely in the TGIF category this week...you mentioned head banging in another thread? Sometimes I feel like that's what I'm doing at the moment.

I'm sitting here relaxing with a nice cold moscato...my son made a lovely spaghetti bol for tea and just catching up on all the posts. My goodness this place has gotten busy...

Well then, TGIF!!! Your wine sounds lovely as does the spag bol. My dinner tonight was something a little special and utterly ridiculous for a hot summer evening...slow roasted pork belly. It was something I've never done before, was delicious and will be a def for winter meals. Right now I'm still waiting for the boat to cool down...three hours after I had dinner!

And, oh my word, hasn't the forum exploded?! We'll have to see how many people stay, of course. There does seem to be a few vendors amongst them who could make HW their home. That will be nice for them and nice for us. But more people means more renders and chat and WIPs and posts and such and will be lovely to see.

Oh that sounds yummy Lorraine...yes it has definitely exploded and it will be interesting to see where this goes. I think it will be good for us to have more people here even if I'm having difficulty keeping up at the moment. So looking forward to the holidays. Thank goodness it's a short term and next week is week 6 of a 9 week term.

Nice! only four weeks to go. They'll be hot ones though, won't they?

Dinner was yum and I ate ALL the crackling, what an oink! There is some meat left for sammies tomorrow. I had it with a side of my homemade red kraut and it was perfect. So pork and kraut sammies for lunch, mmmm!

Don't know Lorraine...we've actually not had a lot of hot days this year. We had a few at the end of last year and I thought we were going to have a really hot summer but it hasn't eventuated so far. Awww...crackling I haven't had any in years...

Oh yeah! I used to love when mum made it but I don't think she's up to doing it anymore which is really sad.
