Great post by the way! I think allot of us still me Poser Pro but time marches on and technology changes, mostly for the better. The new Hivewire forums are one of my fav forum's right now.. sleek and pretty easy to use and I love the dark theme!

I only shop at DAZ for ONE thing at a time, about 2-3 times a year, at most, (for a POSER item) as I try so hard to stay AWAY... I'm just SO SAD for some very special friends I have over there...and have written to them in PM's.... I wish them the best, how can I not? But I do worry about them, having worked closely with them in one way or another in years past... I did personally invite one vender to consider coming over here...

I have to say, it's TOTALLY DISHEARTENING to TRY and shop at Renderosity, as the HUGE % of their content "goes DS".... I'm pretty much left to buying Poser materials, some backgrounds... and of course DAWN's MR skins.... but the thing that truly worries me, IS the lack of poser content... I mean, SALES push what vendors do, right? So (to me) it really looks bad for us Poser (only) users.... hence my SHOCK and unhappiness at the takeover of RDNA (where I've been a member since 2002- no kidding!!!)

I think as the shock of the news dies down things will return to normal in the 3D world.

The one thing I have done over at the RDNA forums is state that I do not want my details to be passed on the DAZ3D as they mention in their TOS that details will not be passed on to 3rd parties.

It is up to others to decide what they want to do.

It is pure speculation. There has been no word at DAZ as far as I know, though it has been asked in their FAQ thread about the buyout.



Given that their encrypted content does no,t as far as I know, work in Poser, I think you are reading a bit much into this comment. I don't really think that's implied. Could it happen? Sure, anything could happen, but there's no evidence of this. And if it ever happens, people who don't want encrypted Poser content just won't buy it, right?

Will products from stores other than Daz 3D keep working?
Products from other stores will continue working the way they did prior to Daz Studio 4.9. These products do benefit from features that have been added by Daz Studio 4.9, but they cannot benefit from any of the Daz Connect specific features.

So don't expect for future products; they will be encrypted, and unuseful (impossible to use for my part, and i trying once)
