You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. This is not an overnight process so please be patient, if you have already emailed them about this. If you have NOT emailed them, please see the 2nd post in this thread for instructions on what you need to do

I am SO glad you're back!

3-4 hours?! Sheesh, if I don't get a good 9-10 I'm not fit to speak to, coffee or no coffee! And this time I'm going. Night.

Hey, that's more than I used to get.... a couple years ago, I would be awake for 3-4 days around the clock... sometimes even longer. I'll happily take my 3-4 hours! :)

Now go sleep!! Shoo! We'll see you in the morning. :D

AAAAaaaaccckkkkkkk!

I woke up because somebody called the phone in my room! One ring then hung up.

If I find out who did it, I'll do the same thing to them at midnight every night for a week. Why are people such A-holes?

Spending the day relaxing and doing laundry, here.
My leg is slowly getting better but I'm going to have to keep forcing myself to slow down my walking speed or it'll start getting worse again.

The countdown is on to me having WIFI. I will be able to upload those renders and download Dawn SE. Nice.

30 hours and counting.

When you're setting up the simulation for the tunic, are you selecting everything beneath the tunic (Dawn and the bottoms) for collide against? Also, are you changing your collision depth and collision offset from the default? I generally change both those numbers to 0.25 or 0.3. The default is too much ... especially if you have tight fitting layers.

The tunic is a pain. Poser doesn't like layered clothing in cloth sims. If I rig it I may have better luck. I can do a hybrid where the bottom parts are dynamic so they look more natural. I guess I could put bones in them for posing, but I've seen capes that do that and they look not-so-good. I will give it one last shot, then I will give it up. I like the rest of the outfit, so I'll rig those and then put it on ShareCG and here.

The problem isn't so much in the simulation settings. I set the collision offset and depth to .3. The real issue is in how I a modeled it. If I follow the real thing, it appears to be two separate pieces joined in the back and seam sown into the shoulders. They cross over in the front. The issues I am having with it is that the two separate pieces are not colliding with each other, and the pieces that cross fall too far away from each other and then drape straight down. I set the cloth to collide with itself, but it's not really doing that. A remodel is in order.
The other issue I am having is that there are no real good reference photos of the tunic. No two are alike. One has the two pieces flying behind her, one has the right leg wrapped around her ankle. It's a tougher project than I imagined when I started.

Good practice for complex items?

I know I wasn't active on the old forums but I intend to now. I would just like to say you all did a blinding job on the new forum.

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to stash this complement away somewhere safe and take it out every few days and shine it. Thanks Szark, you made my night!
