The Anchorage, Part 3

I caught a video the other day featuring an electric dragster but I haven't managed to watch it yet. Don't know how they classify it! Pro Volt? That's one of the things I admire about drag racing. The sheer innovation of a bunch of people who don't think in terms of 'can we do it?' but 'OK! Whats the best way to do it?' I mean, there's even a steam-powered car out there on the circuit! (Its the one which disappears in a cloud of black smoke in the video!).
I also love that its one of the very few sports which makes no distinction between the sexes, and as far as I know, never has done. I'm thinking Leah Pritchett, and sisters Courtney, Brittany and Ashley Force, all of whom regularly prove that being male doesn't mean you've got the edge. Love it!

After the rain and cold weather of the last few days, I shouldn't have been entirely surprised when I got home this afternoon to find Lucy and her best mate Ellie sitting on a beach towel in the living room wearing sunglasses, eating sandwiches and drinking juice (blackcurrant!) together with their favourite dollies. It turned out that they were, "having a picnic and sunbathing!" Looks like cabin fever is setting in!

Do you know how hard it is to search via Bing or Google about Norse Mythology? I am trying my best for my stories to have some basis of actual mythology.
I want there to be a Loki. I am learning that Loki is the son of Farbauti and Laufey. Farbauti is the father and a Jotunn. I am gathering that Laufey was female and also an Aesir.
I am trying to wrap my head around this.

Good luck with that Alphina. I've long studied Celtic mythology with occasional dips into Norse and always found it to be the most convoluted and confusing mythologies of them all. :)

I had to write a paper for one of my English classes when I went back for a second degree, and the teacher gave each of us a topic to write about, and they were all related to Norse Mythology. I happened to luck out, as I was assigned Yggdrasil. and I had fun gathering facts for the paper. The odd thing was, the most information I obtained came from a book I found in the children's room upstairs in my local library. I think it was probably written for those in middle and high school, but it was well written, and very informative.

Do you know the name of said book?

Man, it seems like yesterday my girls were playing with dolls... They grow up so fast...
Enjoy every single moment of that...
Now one of them writes all day long, and the other is constantly engaged in art projects...
One day they were these tiny little people barely able to see over the table, the next, they both are taller than my wife.

There isn't a deflate option with the male genitals, so you really can only make the male genitals smaller to non existent.

Our Lucy is writing a letter to Father Christmas. Let me just correct that last statement...........Our Lucy is writing a very long letter to Father Christmas. Should I...

A. Explain the basics of economics to her and suggest a course of moderation?
B. Start saving up as fast as I can?
or
C. Find a suitable cave on Pendle Hill and hide until it's safe to come out?

When my girls were little I explained to them that me and Santa had a falling out and he wasn't pleased with me and refused to come back around...
It had something to do with me icing up the roof because the reindeer were messing up the shingles.
They didn't buy that.
I tried to convince them that it was unwise to write letters to a crazy man that plays with elves and breaks into your house late at night to steal cookies, regardless of how many presents he leaves.
They didn't buy that either.
One of my daughters used to pretty much circle every item in the Toys-R-Us Christmas catalog... "So Santa would have something to work with, if he didn't have any good ideas"
I'd just find a nice cave... It's your best bet.

The turkey is out of the oven and I had a VERY busy nose at my left elbow. He actually did eat some shreds of breast meat. I had expected him to just sniff and lick them.
