Well, I'm looking forward to tonight's storm...
According to the national weather service a strong storm will arrive this evening...
In my area this storm will feature:
• Heavy rain with the possibility of cats and dog with intermittent hamsters and elephants...
• Power outages because Long Island learned little from hurricanes Sandy, or the 9,000,000 other strong non hurricane storms it's had.
• Coastal flooding, with storm surges and probable beach erosion and a likelihood of Mirelurk* attacks on Fire Island.
• Strong winds of 45-60 mph with gusts of 70 mph likely.
• A high risk of tree damage from trees angered by the storm and looking to take revenge on mankind during said storm.
Ugh...I hate mirelurks.

This cheat might not help with the falling elephants though.
In all seriousness, I hope things aren’t as bad as they’re predicting. Be safe!
It's not going to be much better here in the City. It's been raining since about 9:00am this morning. Going to the gym this morning wasn't too bad, but I nearly got drowned coming home, and crossing the streets wasn't easy, as there's lots of pools of water near all the corners. ~shakes head~Well, I'm looking forward to tonight's storm...

Sounded more like "mee-tee-urologist"... Conjuring images of a meaty pee-pee doctor. As in mee-tee-our-olo-gist?

I was afraid something like that might be the case. LOLSounded more like "mee-tee-urologist"... Conjuring images of a meaty pee-pee doctor.
It was the pause between mee-tee and urologist that kinda cemented it.
My wife used to watch Murphy Brown, and there was a character named Miles... If you know that actor, picture him saying meaty-urologist.
Wellll....... I've seen such nonsense around here as well. A number of years ago a Dairyman (milk is a huge industry here) decided to build an expensive home on this nice hill on his property. Instead of having someone take a VERY careful look at said hill before hiring the contractor he simply had them do the work. He didn't get to enjoy the house for long. The "hill" was actually a large sand dune.Ah! If only! Trouble is Miss B is that they tend to be the sort of self-opinionated people who prefer to find a solution by throwing money at it until it all goes bottoms-up at which point they expect somebody else to throw money at the problem until it goes away! Mind you, I must admit that given that they include one or two councillors amongst their numbers does cause some quiet hilarity amongst us commoners!
