On the rain radar it looked like it was going to be a nightmare so I told my hubby to meet me at the cinemas as they have an under cover carpark (and I found a spot where even if the wind was going sideways it still wouldn't hit the car). While waiting for the movie to start you could still hear the thunder but once the movie (the new Thor one) started it was all drowned out :D

Well that's one way to get through a thunderstorm. ;)

Without giving away anything, how was the movie?

haha yep plenty of thunder and lightning in the movie :D

I liked the movie, but I do like these types of movies so I'm not really one to ask if its any good :p

The God of Thunder adding to the effects... how cool

3 black cockatoos just went over so that means rain for a few days here...

overcast and a brisk 17c today

Three black cockatoos's eh? We can usually tell by the way we can't get into the bus shelters because of all the seagulls wearing rain capes!

Right now, here in the U.S., it's Thursday night. It's probably sometime on Friday where you are.

He's a lot closer to you Rae, than he is to me. ;)

I believe he's somewhere Down Under, but I don't recall if it's Aus, or NZ.

ahh then an hour out as NSW has daylight savings whereas QLD doesn't :D (I miss daylight savings!)

We have parts of the U.S. that don't have daylight savings either. I always thought that was odd.

Then I'd rather Daylight Savings, my body clock gets up with daylight, during summer that can mean 4am and I'd rather sleep in :D

We don't have DST in Saskatchewan. We are GMT -6 year-round. It does really suck in mid-December when it's dark at 4:30pm, because you get up in the dark, go to work in the dark, and come home in the dark. But we don't have to suffer through a twice-yearly time change. And by suffer, I mean listen to everyone complain about it. I don't miss that from the other places I've lived in Canada. ;)
