Good aftermorning. :)
How much rain? Enough to make it;s own pool?
We did have a short light rain this morning. Now it's just somewhat cloudy.

Hey ... if you're gonna get wet in a pool, what's a little rain falling.

As long as there isn't lightning. Swimming in an electrical storm wouldn't be the best idea.

Unless I'm headed to work, I absolutely love walking in the rain. As long as I'm wearing a jacket and hood, I don't bother with an umbrella.

What's your elevation, Satira?
We're around a mile high here and rain tends to be cold no matter how hat the day might have gotten.
Speaking of hot days that and up raining..... Tornado season here. One touched down during a recent storm and cause some damage in outside of town.

ETA: Apparently not a tornado: High winds cause damage in Portales

I live in a building 233 feet above sea level, but I work in a building that is 63 feet above sea level. Which is why I get better gas mileage driving to work than driving home  It's all downhill one way, uphill the other.

Though I spent the first half of my life about 200 feet higher.

I think you get more snow than we do here.

Meanwhile eye-burn season is starting. We get our first load of freshly harvested chiles grown in the valley around the Village of Hatch on Friday which means it's time for that roaster which can handle 25lbs a pop to be dragged out to the front of the store and fired up. It won't be brought back in until early-mid September.

ETA: I've been told that New Mexico's bulk roasting tradition has spread into Texas. I wonder if we've also infected Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah. and Arizona?

Well apparently we're heading for a Winter Heatwave next week

Any chance of borrowing some of that Rae? While most of Europe has been experiencing 40C+ temperatures, the poor old UK has had the coldest July/August since Urgh killed his first mammoth! I mean, warm rain is one thing but I really hate having to don my old string vest until at least the end of September!:eek:

I'll share a little of it Myth, if it happens, you know what weather forecasts are like :) I don't think I've heard of over 30 degrees c for a consecutive of 4 days for winter since I've been in sunny Qld.

Will you be showing us the results of your play? It's interesting to see what people do with various things.

Will try to but have not downloaded Dawn yet. My landlady is mad at me I fear. She wants my place to be pristine by Sunday I think but I am not sure how I can do that?
I can clean and organise but I fear it will not be good enough. I am not sure what to do.

Ask her specifically what she needs you to do. Is it dirty clothes on the floor or even clean clothes on the bed. (My bed is my closet :p ) Dirty dishes in the sink or on the furniture.

Without knowing specifically what she is upset about, it's hard to know where to start. Though of course ... anything dirty lying around is usually a good start.
