Can I ask a serious question? How old should a cat or kitten be when you first adopt it. All my previous cats were either born at the house or given to me as a kitten. But I had more people living with me then. If I get a cat now, I live alone. That's what worries me. What if I have to go back into the hospital? And while i do have relatives, I can't expect them to drop everything they're doing to come feed my cat.

There's no video with this post, just a quick story. When I was about 5 or six years old, I lived in a two floor apartment with my mother, brothers and a cat. We were watching tv one night and under the stairs of the apartment was a closet with a little storage room. I remember we would shove some extra clothes and shoes in there occasionally. I don't know why I was looking in the closet, but my cat was in there. I thought she was hiding. I reached down to pick her up, but heard some mewling noises. I thought my cat had crapped on our clothes. I called my mother, and she came over to look and lo and behold, our cat had had kittens. :D Still scared the crap out of me though.
