I'll gladly send you some of our heat. 10 or more degrees? At least we aren't expected to get into triple digits ... barely.

Eek! That's warm! It's about 14C/57F here, quite nice. I'm in summer clothes cos I refuse to turn the fire off and rug up. It might be fiscally prudent but I don't care...I like my fire.

Oh what I'd give for 57 degrees right now. It's 88 (but feels like 95) with humidity at 65%. I can't WAIT to go get my summer haircut later. I so hate long hair in this weather. :(

Our temp the other day was a Top of 16C/60.8F but with the wind chill factor (it reached up to 65kph/40.4Miles around the airport) it felt like 9C/48.2F, which if anyone who knows the Brisbane/Gold Coast area knows that's pretty cold for up here :D

What I hate most of all is not the high temps, but the high humidity. If the temps are in the high 80s or low 90s, and the humidity is down hear 40-45%, I can live with it. Today, however, the humidity was 65% with no let-up in sight.

Luckily I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow or Saturday, so I'm not going to have to take another sweat bath 'til Sunday, unless the humidity drops down by a least 20%.

That's nasty humidity, Miss B! Terre, is your heat a dry heat or humid like Miss B's? Our warm weather is usually humid but doesn't get anywhere near as high as the US or Australia...30c/86F would be considered a very, very hot day.

Opua today is overcast and warmish, no fire required. Unfortunately the blasted sandflies are seething...there will be much aroma of Eau de Repellant!

It's mostly dry heat. This area is semi-arid.
86 is low for a summer high. That happens only when it's very cloudy all day.

Yes, I have family in Tucson, and their weather is pretty similar to what you probably get Terre. My folks, when they were alive, used to visit during the winter to get away from the really cold winter's we used to get back then. I always went in June, so yeah 100F was normal, and even low at times, but the humidity was rarely over 40% so bearable as long as I wasn't outdoors for long periods at a time.

I know that phoenix gets hotter than here. I don't know if Tuscan does or not. It sound like it may be slightly warmer. 100s in June occurs by mid month but is a bit high at the beginning of the month.

It's been a long time since I've been out there, but I think Phoenix and Tucson are pretty similar.

Well...I got distracted today...I was trying to fix a problem with Skyrim crashing with new games for my daughter(there was a slight mod conflict) and I ended up playing it myself...didn't get the things I should done.

Morning my friends, just after midnight on Sunday and I'm home from yet more socialising I hadn't planned to do. My friends inland invited a mob of us from Opua over for a heater warming. They lived in a fridge masquerading as a house and last week put in a monster sized diesel heater...the fridge has departed leaving a warm house behind. We were all supposed to sit in the lounge partaking of the warm but as usual sat around the kitchen table browsing on nibbles. Poor Chris, we are uncivilisable ;)
