I'm sure that's what he would use as he considers complete willingness to be critical from what he's said. You don't have to worry about meeting him though, He's a Brit. LOL

Having fun at work learning the new program. File handling is clunky as it's Windows and I'm used to DOS but overall a big improvement.

DOS? You mean command lines and floppy disks? I mean the big 7 inch ones not the small ones that hold a whopping 1.2Meg of magnetized information.

Nope. A Win XP computer with DOS programs on it was what I had until late Sept. I do know what you're talking about though. The little bit of programming training I had was on an NCR system 34 back in the early 80s.

I earned my CIS degree on DOS computers back in the late 80's and early 90's. It was the only computer I had at home, and the computer labs at school were DOS based until the last 2 years I was there, when they were replaced with Win95 computers. Not long after that, the law firm I had been working at for over 20 years, finally replaced the old DOS computers for Win95 machines.

Good morning. :)

OK, seriously Myth? 7pm my time must be about 2am your time. You really do stay up as late as my friend in the midlands.

Hee Hee! It's not so much that I go to bed very late Terre as much as I go to bed very early...the next day! I've been a night person for most of my life and I find it more conducive to work when the 'world slumbers 'neath an indigo blanket'. I don't recall having any Capathian ancestors called Drakul in the family but I suspect that we may have at times! I suppose an example of that would be over on DeviantArt where I have some two hundred images plus, the vast majority of which were posted during the early hours. (Mostly on a Tuesday for some strange reason or other!) I can quite happily get by grabbing a couple of hours snooze-time here and there during the day so, what the heck, just go with it.

Speaking of Dracul..... One of the best Dracula novels I've read is "The Homles-Dracula File " by the late Fred Saberhagen. "An Old Friend of the Family" and "The Dracula Tape" are also good. His other Dracula books aren't bad but have some truly weird stuff in them. Oh, The Dracula Tape is his retelling of "Dracula" and it takes advantage of a loophole in the end of the book that I noticed as a teen reading it for the first time. Saberhagen is the only author I've read who noticed the problem and decided to work with it. Literary scholars blame the slip on Stoker having been tired of the book and character by then and just trying to get it finished.

ETA: In fact the books have weird enough stuff in them that I have ended up picturing it as taking place in the same universe as "Tea With the Black Dragon" and it's sequel "Twisting the Rope". Hmm... Looks like I need to look at more of R. A. MacAvoy's books. The only other one I have is "The Grey Horse". R. A. MacAvoy - Wikipedia

Thanks Terre! I'm always on the lookout for good books, especially those which bring the Dracula legend closer to source rather than some of the dire rubbish which passes for vampire lore these days. Time to fire up the Kindle and seek them out methinks!

Thorn is where wizards start appearing. I can see Feathers/Hawk in a later story seeking help from Mayland Long of Tea With the Black Dragon only to learn that they actually had an earlier encounter centuries before that Hawk doesn't remember and made Mayland rather annoyed with him. That's how my mind works. I tend to plop characters in other people's worlds just because things seem to fit together. :)

ETA: Saberhagen's The Frankenstein Papers was quite a disappointment. One reason I actually still have the book is because I got it signed by him when I bought it. Got the Dracula books I had on hand signed then too.
