My hubby must love me. He just went and bought a portable air conditioner even though we can't afford it. It was 31c in my bedroom (not even the hottest part of the day), I felt like I was beginning to melt. Ahh bring on the icicles

Aww, he's a keeper Rae.

Yep...definitely a keeper. This is the first year we have had air-conditioning and I didn't even notice the hot weather last week unless I went out. It felt weird but it means no more sleepless nights due to the heat.

Is now officially midnight and I'm lying in bed listening to the fireworks go off all around us, feeling pleasantly buzzed after a few glasses of wine. I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!

It's still 2016 here, for another 12+ hours.

We started the day off rather nicely about 4:30/5 am when the fire alarms went off. It was a good 15 minutes or so before they were shut off. I got ready to evacuate (found Tsuki and got her into her carrier, then got dressed), but I waited for the fire department to respond. When they did, it must have been without sirens, since I never heard any.

Morning all, it's close to 7am on the first day of the new year here...
