Yep...definitely a keeper. This is the first year we have had air-conditioning and I didn't even notice the hot weather last week unless I went out. It felt weird but it means no more sleepless nights due to the heat.

Getting close here...just under eight hours! I'm babysitting the fluffbum and BASHING their internet ;) Looking forward to the fireworks at midnight, Dave and Carole's house has a grandstand view :bounce:

Is now officially midnight and I'm lying in bed listening to the fireworks go off all around us, feeling pleasantly buzzed after a few glasses of wine. I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!

It's still 2016 here, for another 12+ hours.

We started the day off rather nicely about 4:30/5 am when the fire alarms went off. It was a good 15 minutes or so before they were shut off. I got ready to evacuate (found Tsuki and got her into her carrier, then got dressed), but I waited for the fire department to respond. When they did, it must have been without sirens, since I never heard any.
