Gotcha

Male Common Horse Flies are harmless and feed on nectar, while the females mainly feed on the blood of cattle and horses, which they need for developing eggs. Their bite is very painful.

Uninvited Guests

The invited guests didn't come, so the strawberries that decorated the cupcakes started to spoil. That's when the uninvited guests arrived.

While other "fruit fly" species do pose a biological security risk, the Common Fruit Fly is attracted to fruit that is already rotting, they do not cause fruit to rot.
