• Welcome to the Community Forums at HiveWire 3D! Please note that the user name you choose for our forum will be displayed to the public. Our store was closed as January 4, 2021. You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. This is not an overnight process so please be patient, if you have already emailed them about this. If you have NOT emailed them, please see the 2nd post in this thread for instructions on what you need to do

Is it HiveWire3D or HiveWire3d?

It's all over our store and forums. What made you ask?

I'm working on a movie for a product and wanted it to be right.

I'll look first next time.

You can always look in the store for "official" product names of anything else you're using in your movie to be sure.

Enjoy creating!

What I see, at the top of both the forums and the store pages, is the logo, in all uppercase, with a lightning bolt as the "i", and no space between the e and the 3. So, perhaps the logo needs fixing? I, at least, can see the confusion.

The logo is perfect to me. :)

Aside from the logo, every place HiveWire 3D is typed out in our store, in email communcations, in our newsletter, product pages and product ReadMe's etc., it is capital H, ive, capital W, ire, space 3, capital D. In our early days, we actually had meetings to discuss how we were going to define ourselves in the world of text and agreed to be consistent in how each of us typed it throughout in the various tasks we do in the Hive.

So, it's officially HiveWire 3D, sometimes we use HiveWire, or HW3D, or in more casual interactions, HW even.

Our product names use the 'HiveWire' portion and leaves out the '3D' portion such as the HiveWire Horse, HiveWire Big Cat, HiveWire House Cat.

When I am typing out our brand name I choose whichever fits the reason I am typing it. My spell checker corrects me now if I try to type Hivewire 3d or hivewire. It's pretty funny.
