DS 4.8 moving really slow! Help!

I was down to 12GB on my hard drive, things were still running fine. I moved a bunch of (non-Daz related) stuff to an external drive. Leaving DS alone, and now as soon as I start adding anything to the scene, it takes 3-10 seconds for the cursor to move the camera views, to switch tabs, basically everything is very slow!



And ideas? I have shut down the machine, shut down DAZ, nothing seems to help. As soon as I add anything to the black scene, it slows all movement.

I really don't want to update to 4.9, I have Win 10/64, 12GB RAM, no Nvidia card, and 44GB memory free, so this really shouldn't be happening, as it didn't happen when I only had 12GB free space!

Hmm, so an interesting thing you could try to see if it is Daz related, or if maybe something else strange is happening on your computer is to open up Poser, and see if it runs fine. I only suggest this, because like DS they are both going to work your RAM and video card etc. a lot more than say a web browser, so if there is some sort of bigger problem that might show it to you.

Other wise, I've yet to have much luck troubleshooting DS.

Nope, Poser works just fine, no delay at all.

With some experimenting, I have found the DS starts having issues right from the start, before any scene is loaded, at all. So, I guess I start tracking things down, and consider the possibility that I might have to reinstall.

Okay, I have found that if I have the "arrow" selection tool selected that I don't run delayed. But, if I have the other tools, (rotation, Posing tools, scaling, moving, etc) selected then I have the delay. It's very odd. So, I may just reinstall over the top and see if that fixes it, rather than uninstalling and reinstalling, because I really hate redoing my personalize content categories.
