BACKGROUND:
This image was created using Prang colored pencils. It was rendered on a medium tooth drawing surface, found in a leatherbound, Tara sketchbook (8.5 x 11 inch). The entire piece took me about Seven hours to complete (this is a guesstimate, as I was not keeping track of time).
This image was designed for a friend of mine. It has to do with an inside joke between us all. He is handicaped, and it is not an attempt to be disrespectful or crude, in fact it was his idea...sort of. If you are offended, then simply don't look at it, and certainly don't bother to email me or comment regarding being offended, as it will be ignored.
**Update - With the completion, scanning, and uploading of "Bikinni Sunrise" I have now made an official collective series of works to be known as "Icons". This piece will now be considered a part of that series, which will showcase commonly known images in my stylized and surrealistic, sometimes macabre art form portrayed in colored pencil. Three more are currently in progress, with five more planned after that.
