TITLE: "The Paladin"

BACKGROUND:
This image was created entirely with a Number two, hard lead pencil (those are almost impossible to find nowadays, but I still have a few in my stockpiles). The image was created on a fine tooth drawing surface (20# typing paper), looseleaf. The original image is 8.5 x 11 inches, and is quite old. Although it has remained framed for most of it's years, it still shows signs of age and wear. I hope to later digitally master this picture and clean it up, though I lack the motive and desire now. In addition, the scan did not do it justice, coming out much darker than it should have (I need a better scanner).
This is a fantasy character who I simply have referred to as "The Paladin" or "The Dragon Slayer" over the years. I have always intended to do more work with him, and have detailed out several notes about his costume, his axe, etc... Even though it is an older piece, I am sharing it because I am fond of it, and proud of some of the acomplishments it represented at the time. I was always particularly fond of the cape, and the shading on it.
