TITLE: "Beautiful Sleeper Awakening from the Dream"
A.K.A: "Nekosami's Midnight Frolic" & "Waking The Dead"

BACKGROUND:
Nekosami Ryo Awakens from her long slumber in a cold prison of stone and frolics amidst the citadels of the deceased with joyful glee.
This image was created using Prang colored pencils with 3.5mm cores and a .05mm Technical Pencil. It was rendered on a medium tooth drawing surface, found in a leatherbound, Tara sketchbook (8.5 x 11 inch). The entire piece took me an unknown amount of time to complete. The central figure was drawn well over eight years ago, and the background was loosely sketched in over 2 years ago. It was not until late July of 2005 that I sat down and decided to finally add some depth and color to the background, even then it was worked on sporadically. The starfield uses the same techniques I first used on "The Navigator", as I said, I'd love to say I'll never use it again because it took too long, but I knew it wouldn't be true.
